Will You Mary Me? (ShinKami)

Shinsou and Kaminari got off the Farris Wheel for the tenth time that day. It was now around 7:00 and the sun was starting to set on the fairgrounds. The fair itself didn't close until 11:00, but most of the fairgoers had already left. There were still people wandering around, playing games, and going on rides and there was a particular crowd around the Ring of Fire. Which, of course, was the next ride Kaminari chose. The two heros stood in line and denied any requests to let them cut in front.

The ride was fun but didn't last long. As soon as they stepped off, they went back to the end of the line.

"Hey Denks," Shinsou said nudging his boyfriend. "Marry me." The command-like request rolled off his tongue with no hesitation whatsoever.

"What?" Kaminari asked, a mix of confusion and disbelief spreading across his face.

"I said marry me." Shinsou took a small, gray box from out of his pocket and knelt down. Kami gasped when he saw the ring.

The band was a steel circle flattened a little on the sides of the top for the diamonds. 32 diamonds littered the top of the ring with one bigger than the rest in the center. 33 in total.

"Oh my gosh." He whispered.

"Denki, in all my 25 years I have never been as happy as I am with you. I realize that I have some problems, mostly insomnia," At this Kaminari nodded a little. "but you've definitely helped me. I know we've only been dating for about two years, but I honestly couldn't see myself with anyone else. When you walk into the room, you're the only one I can focus on. There are constantly little voices in my head telling me that I'm not good enough, but you make them go away. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I'm not the only one who sees it Denks. You bring out the good in everyone. So, will you marry me?"

To say that Kaminari was dumbfounded would be an understatement. He stood there with wide eyes, staring at Shinsou, not being able to move or speak. It was like someone had put him under a spell. The only thing he could do was stand there and cry.

Now this concerned Shinsou. He felt like he had done something wrong. A million possibilities flew through his head, none of them good. Half a second later Kaminari was sitting on the ground, hugging his boyfriend. Shinsou's arms were still outstretched. He didn't quite understand the situation he was in right now. Was Kami happy? Or did he just lose his boyfriend? Are they still boyfriends? Or are they now fiances?

None of these questions had a proper answer until Kaminari whispered something.

"Why didn't you ask sooner you big dummy? Of course." The words were barely a whisper, but Shinsou heard them.

It was like the entire fair had been holding their breath, because as soon as they stood up and Shinsou put the ring on Kaminari's finger, a collective sigh escaped the surrounding people. Cheers erupted for the number 4 and 7 heros.

Shinsou kissed the ring and then his fiance's cheek. "I love you, Denki. I love you so much."

A sudden screech erupted from nearby and Mina came hurtling out from the crowd. "OMGOODNESS!!" She shouted. "YAS! I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TWO TO GET HITCHED FOR SOOOO LONG!!"

"Mina. Long time, no see. When did you get here?" Shinsou asked as the pink lady hugged Kami and then him.

"Me? Oh, I've been here all day. Kyouka and Hanta are over there." She gestured somewhere behind her, never taking her eyes off the ring. "It's beautiful."

Mina and Kami started talking about weddings and Mina insisted that she be a part of planning. Shinsou just smiled and bought himself some funnel cake, offering to share with Kaminari but insisting that Mina get her own.

"I have to get back to my peeps. Kyouka's gonna take me shopping and Hanta is so incredibly hot." Mina said after a few minutes of talking. "See you guys soon!"

Kaminari laughed and waved goodbye. "She's fun." He said, turning to Shinsou. "Gosh, I can't believe this is happening. It's like a dream. Or maybe I'm high. Can you slap me to make sure?"

"Denki, I'm not going to slap you."

"But Toshiii!" Kami whined. "I don't want to spend the rest of the day with you, be happy that you proposed, and then find out it was all a dream!"

Shinsou smiled gently and leaned down to whisper in Kaminari's ear. "Then don't wake up." He said.
