Getting home from the ancestral Manor left Draco drained. Despite what he said to his parents, his flat, located in the middle of London, was anything but 'not noteworthy'. It was completely to his own taste where every single furniture, design element, and appliance was hand-picked by himself. It has been his safe haven for the last four years, where he truly came became his own person. The last thing he wanted was to invite his parents to this place. It felt too vulnerable and bloody well uncomfortable.

Tonight's dinner had once again, served as a reminder for what he desperately yearned for: a family of his own to love and to cherish. Even though he kept his cool, learning of Lucius's activities cavorting with the Greengrasses had alarmed him. Lucius's declaration meant that he had another two months, the next family dinner, to come home with a potential wife. He had planned on taking his time to find love...to slowly ease into the social life within the wizarding world. But now, he knew that he needed to move fast before he was subjugated to his parent's plans for his future once more. At 25, he knew he couldn't be the good pureblood son that his parents had expected him to be. He was determined not to repeat past mistakes.

'How could I possibly find my significant other in just two months?' Draco thought.

'I've barely made an appearance in Diagon Alley in the last couple of years. I only go from work to home. Where am I going to start looking for my partner? I haven't been in contact with my peers from back in school for years, and the only people I interact with on a regular basis are my colleagues from the lab. Most of them keep to themselves too.' The prospects were looking grim.

'I do not want to settle for a random witch who I find tolerable and agreeable enough. I do not want to settle for anything less than what I imagine finding the one would be like. I want a partner that is my equal. Someone that I am madly in love with. I want an unconditional type of love that I find in...in muggle movies.' As his thoughts spiraled, Draco couldn't remain hopeful about finding all that he is looking for in the mere two months he was given.

After agonizing over this conundrum for the rest of the weekend, Draco finally came to a conclusion. He could not, and would not rush into finding the love of his life. Instead, he would start his own family, by himself.
