Draco hugged Penny closer to his heart. It was difficult leaving Hermione's home after the momentous day.
As if Penny sensed his overflowing joy, Penny gave Draco an unabashed smile.
"Daddy, happy?"
"Yes, sweetheart. Daddy is very happy." Draco answered fondly.
Still on cloud nine, Draco almost missed the white envelope in front of his desk.
He didn't get wizard mail often these days, so whenever he did, he knew it was usually with some foreboding news. With an ominous feeling, Draco put Penny down and approached the desk.
The white envelope was nondescript, as if the sender sensed that revealing his or her identity would repel the reader from opening the letter at all.
After doing an extensive amount of spells to ensure the mail wasn't cursed, Draco carefully opened the envelope. Inside was a letter.
Dear Mister Draco Malfoy,
I am writing on behalf of Mister Lucius Malfoy and Lady Narcissa Malfoy.
You are required to make your presence known at the Malfoy Manor on Friday at 6:00 PM.
The Malfoys have recently altered their will and your presence is absolutely vital in this event that is to take place.
My client posits that failure to be present on the day of will result in dire and unbecoming circumstances.
Best,
Xavier Ralph
Damn it. Draco cursed inwardly.
I guess some things never change.
