A different path (Paused)

The Moving

As the days went on Persephone kept thinking of telling Euphemia and Fleamont of what the dark lord had said to her and when they noticed that she was anxious they knew something was up. 'Persephone?' Mia shouted her from the kitchen 'Yeah Mia?' Persephone said walking into the kitchen, 'Are you alright, dear?' Persephone sat down in front of Mia next to James 'There's something I have to tell you.' she told them everything she told her brothers and Mia looked like she was happy 'Well that's wonderful.' Persephone looked at her in confusion 'How is that wonderful?' she asked 'Well it just means that he has a heart and wants you to be his daughter because he loves you.' Persephone smiled, James on the other hand looked outraged 'How could you not tell me when you told Sirius and Reggie?' he asked about to stand up and storm out 'Because I just wanted to tell my brothers first. I still haven't told Sev.' she suddenly stood up 'I need to tell Severus. I'm going to apparate there is that alright?' she asked Mia 'Yes that's fine but be home soon alright.' Persephone nodded. 

She thought of Severus's house and where they meet when she leaves her house and then she apparated to a field and saw Severus leaning against a tree 'Persephone?' he asked as he saw her 'Hello my angel.' he ran to hug her 'I know it's only been a few days but I've missed you.' he spun her around 'Severus' she laughed 'I've got something to tell you, I think it's best if we sit down.' They sat down and she told him about her new name and title. 'So you are the dark lords successor and will be able to control the Death Eaters?' 'Yes, and I will have a pet snake if he is to die or something bad happens to him.'  

They spoke for a while longer and Persephone noticed that the sun was going down, 'I better get back to the Potter's.' she said while trying to stand up but she couldn't escape Severus's arms around her, she smiled 'Severus you could come with me, if you want, we just have to grab a few of your things?' she asked him 'I don't think I can be under the same roof as James and Sirius.' She nodded and turned around and kissed him, they broke apart after a few minutes 'Right well I'm going to have to go before Mia comes looking for me, I'll see you in a while my love.' she stood up and apparated away. Leaving Severus to walk back to his house. 

Persephone walked back into the kitchen where everyone was sitting eating their supper and the looked at her 'Thanks for joining us' said Sirius looking at her 'Sorry I'm a bit late we were watching the sun set.' She went to sit between Mia and Regulus. She noticed while she was eating that Regulus was trying to get her attention, she looked at him and noticed that he was looking towards the door 'Reggie can I speak to you please?' they got up and went into the hall way next to the stairs. 'Right, what's up?' she said as they stopped walking 'You're different.' 'What do you mean?' She looked at him 'Did you know he's your mate?' she was shocked 'He's my WHAT!' she yelled, Everyone in the kitchen came running out 'What's going on?' Fleamont asked 'Severus is my mate, or at least that's what Regulus thinks' She left the group and went up to her room, she got a piece of parchment and wrote a note to Severus: 

My Love 

We need to talk, I think we are mates, Regulus pointed it out to me that I was different when I got back and its true. I'm changing and I don't know into what so I need you here please. I made this letter into a portkey just say 'Darkness' and you will appear at the front door. I'll tell Mia and Fleamont you are coming.

-Persephone

She sent him the letter with her owl and hoped that he would be there soon. She went to tell Mia to let him in when he got there.

~Meanwhile with Severus~

He was hiding in his room away from his parents arguing, he didn't want to hear it, he heard a tap on his window and saw Persephone's owl, he read the letter, said Darkness and suddenly he was outside the potter residence. He went to knock on the door and a woman answered the door 'Hello I'm Severus, I'm here to see Persephone.' 'Oh yes she said you were coming by, come in I'll take you to her room' Severus followed Mia to where Persephone was and when he walked into the room he saw her huddled in a corner, 'My love are you alright?' he rushed to her side 'S-severus?' she stuttered 'I'm here my dear' he moved so she was sitting in his lap and he was hugging her 'It hurts' he heard her mumble. Soon enough he felt that she fell asleep, so he lifted her up and put her on the bed he tried to move away but her grip on his cloak tightened so he laid down next to her and fell asleep as well, unaware to the watching eyes of her twin brother.  

~With Sirius and James~ 

'He's lying in her bed with her!' Sirius whisper-yelled at James 'Pads, he really loves her, I can see that. Why can't you accept that?' James said having enough of Sirius's reaction to the two of them 'I just don't like him, he's evil.' 'So is your sister, she the dark lord's heir.' James said sitting up from his lying position 'Listen Pads go and get your brother and see what he thinks of the relationship between Persephone and Severus.' Sirius got up and went to go and get Regulus and brought him into James's room. 'Right Reggie, what do you think of Persephone and Severus's relationship?' 'He's good for her, when we all hang out he looks out for her. She in turn looks out for him when you guys were bullying him, she hated it it hurt her.' Regulus said with his usual expressionless face 'But he's evil.' Said Sirius trying to defend himself 'So am I and so is our sister.' Regulus said as he walked out of the room. 'Reggie, does he really care for her?' Regulus nodded and shut the door Sirius looked at James 'We need Moony.' 'Alright Pads we can get him tomorrow but no Peter, I feel that he's up to something.' James said as he fell asleep. 

Sirius went to Persephone's room and saw that she was awake looking at Severus with nothing but love in her eyes 'I know your there Sirius.' she said not looking away from her sleeping boyfriend. She looked over her shoulder to her brother 'If you have come here to complain that Severus is here I don't want to hear it.' Sirius went to sit on the edge of her bed 'I don't want us to fight but, I just want to make sure that he is good for you.' Sirius said and Persephone sat up 'He is good for me, he takes care of me and I really love him.' Persephone heard Severus grunt and he opened his eyes 'What time is it?' he asked sleep evident in his voice, 'It's 4am' said Sirius watching him 'Oh' Severus said as he fell back asleep pulling Persephone with him. 

She laid down next him 'I'll talk to you later brother, for now I'm going to back to bed.' 'Goodnight Perse' she absentmindedly waved at him and went back to her bed cuddling more into her boyfriend.
