O L I V I A
"Ms. Moore! Can you hear me?"
I blink against the harsh light in my eyes and try to hold my hand out in front of my face. My entire body feels as if it has been drug through a football field of glass.
"Wha-"
"Olivia," I hear Anna say from my side, "It's okay, we're okay."
I grimace against the pain building in my side and open my eyes to find one of Alessio's main guards, Robin, hovering over me. His dark hair dripping with sweat and bad eye covered by a camo colored patch.
"What happened?" I ask him.
He frowns at my face and reaches out to press something cold against my forehead.
"The car flipped," Anna speaks up. I look over at her and aside from her looking insanely pissed she doesn't seem to be hurt. "I'm sorry, Olivia, I shouldn't have slammed on the brakes like that but they would've killed you. "
"I understand." I tell her softly.
She doesn't respond and looks down at Robin. The goofy, loud Anna shifts into a more professional and serious one.
"Where's Beto?"
I look between them, "Is he here?"
"He'll be here in five minutes with a car," Robin explains and steps away from the van. "It's a good thing we got here when we did."
"Where are those men?"
He looks down anxiously at his watch, "My team is in pursuit now."
"I don't want anyone hurt."
"Ms. Moore, it's our job to protect you. You matter to the boss so you matter to this family."
Something touches my shoulder and I look over to see Anna comforting me. I try to peak past Robin and realize we are parked in front of a gas station.
I can't believe I was out the entire time.
"How did we get here so fast?" I say randomly.
Robin looks at me and smirks, "It's been an hour."
"Really?"
"You fainted before the car even flipped," Anna chimes in. "I'm glad we were buckled because that damn thing is toast and we could've died."
"Just a normal day in the life of Olivia," I tease her.
"Alright, he's here," Robin tells us and waves someone over. "I'll have your stuff to the estate by tomorrow."
"Alessio isn't going to let me come back, huh?"
He makes a face and looks over at Anna with a long sigh. She tosses her arm over my shoulders and steers me away from him.
"Robin can't handle the relationship drama, but I can tell you there is a fat chance you won't be coming back for awhile."
"Great."
"Hey! Let's go!"
We both look over to see Beto's massive smile and hands waving over his head. He walks around to the back of the Mercedes and pulls us both in for a very tight hug.
For such a small guy he sure has some muscle hidden under his polos and Gucci jeans.
"How have you been?" I ask him as he lets us go.
He shrugs and pushes his hair back from his eyes. It had been awhile since I had seen Beto or even Giovanni. Just in the time we've been apart he had started growing out his facial hair and his hair was long enough to be in his eyes now.
"Growing into a man, "He teases me. "Honestly, just doing a lot of shit for your guy. Alessio has been on our asses with this one."
"Yeah, which is why we need to go," Anna tells him. "I don't want to keep her here any longer."
"Right."
The three of us hurry into the car and wait for a few of the guards that were with Robin to load a few things into the trunk before Beto pulls out onto the highway.
"What now?" I finally ask after a few minutes of silence.
He looks at me in the rearview mirror, "We're going to San Diego."
I feel a groan of protest build in my throat but know they would both just tell me to be grateful we are even alive.
Which, I knew they'd be right.
I have been tied up, punched, threatened with guns, and survived insane explosions and car accidents. I can see why Alessio is ready to make me live my life in a plastic bubble.
During the next thirty minutes the three of us sat in silence with the guards close behind us. I don't think I had ever heard Beto go more than five minutes without saying something.
Part of me was ready to beg Alessio to figure out a better compromise, but I really just wanted to see my parents and see him.
Anna had reassured me that my friends and Aunt Macy were all under surveillance here in New York until we had a better handle on what was going on.
The car edges up to the curb next to the front doors of the airport and I look over to see Robin opening the door up for me.
"Any update?" Anna asks from the side.
He glances over at her with his eye not covered by the patch and almost has a grim expression to his rough features.
"I'm flying back tonight, I'll fill you in."
"What happened?" I interrupt.
Anna looks at me and shakes her head. I try to ignore her and focus on Robin but as always he just gives me an awkward smile before walking away.
"What is that about?" I frown at her and Beto.
He rolls his eyes, "Olivia leave the mob business to us."
Anna glares at him and looks around at the people walking by. He shrugs and slaps her shoulder playfully.
"Calm down, paranoid."
She rolls her eyes and grabs me by the arm. The three of us hurry through the airport with tickets in tow.
"Don't worry about bags, "Anna tells the both of us. "They'll take care of it let's just get through security."
"I'm shocked we aren't taking the private plane," I tease them.
"Not enough time," She says grumpily. "I hate first class on commercial flights."
"Tragic."
The next few hours seemed to drag on. Even in first class Anna was able to find something to complain about which honestly made me feel embarrassed to be next to her every single time she stopped a flight attendant.
I was honestly just grateful when we finally landed at the San Diego airport so I could stretch my legs.
Even though we had gone through all that shit overnight, I had barely slept a wink. I could feel the drowsiness really starting to set in now especially with the time change.
"Tired?" Anna asks as she stretches her arms above her.
"Exhausted," I nod a bit and lean into her, "I can't believe all of that was just one day."
"Running from people and car accidents can take a lot out of you."
"Are you going to tell me what happened with them?" I ask her quietly.
She pulls her sunglasses down on her face and looks over my head. "I'll think about it. Mateo is here."
I follow her gaze and see his familiar face in the crowd. He's in his usual black attire and has a sign stretched above his head with Romano sprawled across in fancy black ink.
The three of us hurry over to him and he immediately pulls me in for a hug. I sigh happily and squeeze him back tightly.
Mateo has always been one of my favorites. He's the most gentle and giving of the family and knowing we could've lost him when he was shot has still haunted me. He had lost so much blood and apparently while I was in the hospital he had undergone a surgery to remove the bullet and transfusion of his own.
"How are you?" He asks me. His eyes look tired and I spot a lot of grey building throughout his dark locks.
"A little overwhelmed, but I missed you."
He smiles softly, "Likewise, darling."
The three of us follow Mateo throughout the airport to fetch the few things we brought with us before he walks us over to a Black BMW waiting for us.
"How is Alessio?" I ask him.
Mateo goes to answer but Beto interrupts, "Are you kidding me? He is beyond annoying right now!"
I glare at him. "Why?"
He rolls his eyes at me from the front seat, "This whole thing has him biting everyone's heads off."
"Well, it's probably my fault, "I huff out, "So I apologize for his assholeness."
Beto laughs, "Olivia, stop that."
I just stare at him and he shakes his head and laughs.
"Not everything is your fault."
"I guess."
The drive to the estate is mostly quiet aside from the rap music playing and Beto mumbling softly along to it as if he knows more than half the words.
As soon as the gates came into view I felt my heart leap in my chest. I felt so nervous to see Alessio again and I had no idea why.
I knew our compromise was pretty much void at this point and I would have to switch schools. At this point, I just wanted everyone to be safe and had to swallow my pride.
The car climbs steadily up the steep hill before stopping in front of the main fountain directly in front of the main doors. Mateo turns the car off and before I even process his movements he is opening my door.
"We'll have everything of yours here within the next day" He tells me, "Anna helped Alessio get you a few things to have here in your room."
I look back at Anna confused.
"My room? "
She doesn't look at me and pulls our bags out, "Yes, Alessio is giving you a room."
"Almost like he knew I'd have to come back."
She shrugs, "He's just always several steps ahead."
I look back at Mateo and smile. "Thank you."
He grins a little and places his hand on my shoulder. We approach the front entry and are let in by a few guards.
I look around the massive room lit up gorgeous shades of yellow from sun beaming down overhead and smile a little. It hadn't even been that long but every time I set foot in here it feels like the first time again.
"Look who the fuck it is!"
I look up to immediately be crushed by a massive pair of arms that smell like sweat and alcohol. Giovanni squeezes me tightly and pulls back with a cocky grin.
"Good to see you are in one piece," He teases.
Anna pops his shoulder, "Not funny!"
He snorts and hits her back hard enough for her to wince. "Ease up, sis."
I shake my head at the two of them as they continue their childish bickering and turn to find him walking towards me. My entire body lits up and I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach.
Alessio descends the last few stairs and practically sprints over to us. Within moments, I'm in his arms again and his familiar touch is all over me setting me on fire once more.
I find his mouth and crush my lips against him. He tastes faintly of cigars and something about it drives me wild.
"I missed you!" I tell him as he puts me down.
He kisses me again and rests his head on my chin. "I'm so sorry, Olivia."
I melt into his chest and pull him to me tighter. "I'm just so glad to be here."
"We have a lot to discuss."
"What about those men?" I ask him and pull back a little, "What happened?"
His dark eyes look over me towards Anna as he speaks. "We caught them."
"How? Who are they?"
He frowns, "They didn't give us anything, but I have a team working on it with what we were able to uncover from the car."
"You mean-"
Giovanni interrupts, "We tortured them."
"Dude."
Giovanni scoffs, "Alessio, she's not dumb."
"He's right," I tell Alessio and reach up to caress his stubbly cheek. "I can handle it."
"We did what we had to," He says softly and leans into my touch. A small smile creeps across his chiseled features. "I'm glad you are here, love."
"Me too," I say and lean up to kiss his waiting lips.
"Gross!" Giovanni gags.
Alessio ignores him and wraps his arms around me tightly. "We need to make sure our team is still on this night and day."
"Of course," Beto chimes in. "Even though we didn't get them to squeal we have some information to help us narrow this down a bit."
"Any idea if we are dealing with another mafia? Italian? American?"
Beto shrugs, "Robin mentioned one sounded Russian and the other two were American."
"Let's start expanding and get some men out there. May be able to get some word from Petrov."
Beto nods and motions for Anna and Mateo to follow him back out to the front of the manor. I look over at Alessio's face and smile to myself as I study him all over again.
Everything from the thick stubble on his chin to his sharp cheekbones and beautiful black eyes. I would never get over his perfection.
"I promise we will get this taken care of, Olivia," Alessio says suddenly. "I should've been more careful."
"Probably shouldn't have been doing coke while wasted on that whiskey, bro," Giovanni chimes in.
My stomach flops a bit at the accusation and I look between the two of them confused. I knew Alessio spiraled big time when we broke up due to Monica, but I had no idea he was drinking heavily again and now doing drugs?
Why would he even do that? To keep up his image?
"Giovanni!" Alessio snaps.
"Dude, Olivia isn't a square, "Giovanni teases and nudges me. I smile back at him awkwardly. "I know this girl can handle her liquor but maybe one of them bad little strippers swiped it that night."
Here comes the nausea.
"Fuck off right now!" Alessio nearly yells. I jump from the harshness in his tone. "Go check on the team and get out of my fucking face."
Giovanni doesn't say a word and instead turns on his heel to make his exit. Not a single look of regret on his face.
I look up at Alessio and try to mask the hurt clear on my face. He takes a deep breath and without another word he guides me towards the staircase at the end of the hall.
I let him walk the both of us up the stairs and down the hall to his room in silence. My head was reeling and I really wasn't prepared to come home to a fight with him.
He pulls the door open and lets me inside with a grim expression on his face. I take a few steps in and turn around to face him.
"Strippers?" I say softly. My voice cracking with the word.
He shakes his head and runs his hand through his hair, "It was one of the guards birthday and that is when Giovanni think it happened. We had a bunch of the men out at our club and they hired twenty girls, bottle service, and party favors."
I stare at his face quietly as he continues. My heart pounding in my chest loudly as he speaks. "I won't lie to you, Olivia, I did do a line of coke and I did drink a lot that night. I promise you I am not doing what I did when we fell out. I'm not going to do that to you."
I nod, "The strippers?"
He huffs in annoyance. "Giovanni just likes to stir the pot. I didn't even let them touch me, Olivia, I would never betray you in any way."
I nod again and look down at the floor. I hear his shoes echo across the floor and his hand slips beneath my chin so I am looking up at him again.
His eyes soften and he runs his thumb along the lower curve of my lip. "I love you and I am going to marry you, Olivia. I would never hurt you."
"I know."
"Promise?" He whispers and his eyes trail down the length of my body. "I hate seeing you upset."
"I promise."
He holds my face in his hands for a moment longer and before there is even time to process anything else we are all over each other. His lips crushing down against my own as he guides us back towards his bed.
I feel my shirt tossed over my head as he reaches around hungrily to unclasp my bra. My breasts fall out in full view for him as he brings me closer to his body and moves down to take my erect nipples into his mouth.
His tongue dashes against each one causing me to squirm with delight as he squeezes them in his palm.
"Alessio," I moan out and wetness form quickly. "Please fuck me."
He looks up at me with need clear on his face before pulling my pants and underwear off in one go. I watch in admiration as his head moves fast in between my thighs to soothe the ache there.
His tongue creates little circles steadily around my clit as it swells with desire. I feel his fingers slip inside as he works them against my most sensitive spots bringing me to orgasm within minutes.
The electrifying feeling takes over and I can barely hold back my screams of pleasure as I reach my climax. His mouth still taking in all of me as I rock my hips against him.
I reach down to pull him up to me and bring his mouth my own. I smile at the taste of myself still wet on his lips and he reaches up to put two of his fingers into my mouth with a grin on his face.
"What do you think?" He asks softly.
"I like it."
He pulls me back to him and holds my leg tight against his hip as his erect cock finds my entrance immediately. I groan a bit at the pressure as he slowly enters me and rocks into me slowly.
The uncomfortable feeling becomes pure bliss almost instantly and I can't help but wrap my legs around him to hold him in place as he pushes into me deeper and harder.
His hands find my hips and he thrusts into me as deep as I can take. My moans turning into soft screams as I pull a pillow over my chest to bite.
He tosses it to the side and shakes his head, "I want them to hear you."
I laugh a little at him and gasp as he suddenly flips me onto my stomach. He enters me again and uses his freehand to grasp a handful of my hair as he slams into me again and again.
"Cum for me."
I whimper with each thrust and feel him grow even more. His labored breaths turning into soft moans as he reaches his own climax.
"I want to feel your pussy tighten around my cock," He says breathlessly. "Cum for me, Olivia."
I nod the best I can as my body shakes with the approaching orgasm. He grabs hold of my hips and plunges into me as far as he can. I scream out again as I cum for the second time and feel his own body shake against mine as we reach climax at the same time.
"Oh my god," I laugh a little and roll over. "Wow."
"Yeah?" He smiles and wipes sweat off his brow. "Not too much for you?"
"Never."
He grins down at me and moves onto the bed to lay on his side. His touch becoming soft and gentle again as he strokes my cheek.
"I want to marry you."
I stare at him confused, "We're engaged."
"I want to marry you...soon."
"How soon?" My eyes narrow.
"A month?"
"My school? My parents? Kimberly is about to have her-"
"Okay, fine," He teases. "Three months?"
"Six?"
"Five?"
I glare at him and look up at the ceiling. I knew I loved Alessio more than I could comprehend. I never expected to fall in love at such a young age and so quickly, but this was it. He was the one for me.
"Three."
He stares down at me surprised, "Three?"
"That gives me time to break the date to everyone, work on things with Kim, and get school set up here."
He smiles widely and kisses me hard. The both of us erupt into laughter as he moves to kiss me all over my face and neck.
"You have made me the happiest man in the world, Olivia Moore."⟡ ⟡ ⟡
