O L I V I A
"Alonzo has agreed to Anna coming. She'll be here tonight."
I look up at Alessio as he pulls around to the back of the loft building. Just the sight of it made my stomach hurt.
There were still pieces of debris on the sidewalk and pieces of yellow tape sectioned off a large area that had been destroyed by the explosion."Are we staying here?"
He sighs and leans back in his seat, "The thought of you staying here doesn't sit with me."
"What...what if you stay with me tonight?" I ask softly.
I didn't get a lot of alone time with Alessio anymore. Even after the bullshit I just went through I won't hide the fact of how bad I wanted him."Yeah?"He cocks a brow.
My core tightens as he leans in closer. The scent of cigar still fresh on his breath.
His hand reaches across the console so he can grip at my upper thigh through my jeans. I stifle a moan as he squeezes hard.
"A-alessio.""Olivia." He mocks back. His voice low and rough.
I close my eyes tight as he moves his hand to the top of my jeans and pulls the button through the hole. The cool of his fingers find the edge of my panties before slipping inside.
I feel the wetness between my legs grow quickly as his two fingers make little circles against my clit.
"Wait..."I gasp out and become immediately aware of our surroundings.
He leans in and kisses my neck, "Nobody can see in here."
I can't help but look around out of the dark tinted windows but immediately sink into his touch as his long fingers hook inside of me.
Alessio's warm lips find my neck and he nips at my skin playfully. I laugh a little and move my hand up to wrap my fingers through his thick locks as he pumps his fingers into me again.
I can feel the familiar feeling building inside of me quickly as he uses the edge of his thumb to continue circling my clit. His lips suck hungrily against my neck and collarbone as I near my climax.
"Fuck!" I moan out.
My body tightens all over and a shaking orgasm rips through me sending electric shocks down my legs. Alessio's pace only quickens as I cum against his hand.
He moans in delight at my pleasure and slowly begins to slow his pace down.
I lay slumped against the seat and try to slow my breathing. My head is spinning out of control and I have to blink a few times to clear my blurry vision.
"Are you okay?" He laughs lightly.
"Y-yeah," I stammer out and fix my jeans. "You are just...really good at that."
"I know." He jokes and kisses my cheek.
I watch in a daze as he slides out of the driver's seat and makes his way over to my side. I let my hand fall into his and hurriedly fix my jeans as he helps me stand.
He leans around to grab my items from the hospital before we head up the staircase towards my floor. It felt so weird being in this building again.
I could feel that all too familiar knot constrict in my stomach as he unlocked the door.
"What's wrong?"
I stood frozen to the ground in front of the open door and tried to swallow the lump building in my throat.
"I'm fine." I squeaked out.
Alessio didn't look entirely convinced but continued pulling me inside. I walked around him and headed into the kitchen to get something to drink.
"Are you hungry? Thirsty?" I asked over my shoulder.
He shook his head quietly and slowly gazed around the apartment.
"When did you eat last?" I continued and walked over to the freezer. "I barely ever see you eat anymore."
"I'm okay."
I looked over at him and noticed he looked tense. His jaw was set and he was scanning the room almost as if it was the first time seeing it.
"Are you okay?"
He held up his finger briefly and I felt my skin crawl. Alessio walked over towards a shelf against the furthest wall in the livingroom and grabbed a teddy bear that had been sitting there.
It was the same one I've had since I was eleven. My parents and I had gone to a local fair and my dad won it in a ring toss game.
It had been with me through everything.
"What are you doing?" I frowned.
He didn't reply and instead ripped out a plastic black eye from the bears face.
"Alessio!" I snapped and rushed over. I tried to take it from his hands but instead he tossed it to the sofa and handed me the eye.
"What do you see?" He said lowly.
I looked up at him confused but by the serious expression on his face I knew he wasn't playing games.
I turned the tiny eye in my fingers a few times until I finally saw it.
There was something reflective in the eye and it almost looked like it had layers to it. There was a weird buzzing noise coming from it and a tiny red light flashing.
"Is...is this a camera?"
He nodded and took it back. "It is."
I felt that same sickening feeling creep back to my stomach. "Alessio...I..."
"Olivia," He started and looked down the hallway. "Go into the kitchen and wait."
Part of me wanted to protest but instead I complied and walked back to the same spot I was in before.
Alessio tore through the apartment like a bat out of hell. I heard several things fall to the ground in the back rooms and a few curse words I picked up that were in Italian.
He eventually walked back out with his hair in a disheveled mess and sweat glistening his forehead.
After a moment he ripped his cellphone from his pocket and pressed it to his ear. I listened intensely to his conversation which I could only assume was Giovanni by the gruff voice I heard yelling on the other end.
I had no idea how anyone got in here. I knew Alessio had this entire place swept while I was in the hospital.
The fact someone was even able to steal his cellphone was a shock to all of us. He's always so careful and I knew it was eating him inside.
He had a role to fill and he didn't want anyone in the family to feel like they should've backed Adolfo when they had the chance. After the murder of his father, I had heard them talking in private one night.
There had been threats coming from an ally family back in Sicily. I wasn't sure if it was the same one Monica had been from but I knew they were preparing and discussing for the possibility of an attack.
"We need to leave," Alessio announced and put his phone away. "You are coming back with me. The compromise is off."
"Alessio!"
He shook his head, "I'm not risking this, Olivia, someone was here!"
"Whoever it was is gone!" I argued back. "I'm fine with the guards sweeping and even staying posted here for however long it takes for you to feel comfortable. Please don't make me give this up yet."
He stared back at me with annoyance clear on his sculpted face. Even in his anger I couldn't help but feel the butterflies swarm my stomach as he looked me over.
Part of me wanted him to cool down and another horny part of me wanted him to fuck me on the counter in his fit of rage.
"I'm not discussing this."
"I understand you have the family to protect, but I need some kind of normalcy in my life too."
"Olivia," He started again and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Can you please for once just understand that this is a big deal?"
"How about this..."I begun and he glared back at me. "I'll stay the night with my aunt and you can have a few guards outside until everything is clear. Once Anna is in town, we can stay at one of the local hotels for a few days until you feel it is safe for us to come back here. If you find anything else or anything happens, we'll come back home and I won't argue."
"Olivia."
"Alessio," I interrupted him. "Give me ONE chance to prove it's okay. The camera is a big deal and I'm sure it was either planted before or after the attack. I understand we have to lay low and be careful until you find who is doing this. I'm not that incompetent, but I also don't want to live my life in fear."
"You wouldn't have to if I didn't love you." He retorted sadly.
I reached out and touched his cheek, "I love you and I want to be with you."
He sighed and his shoulders dropped a little. "Fine."
"Thank you."
He rolled his eyes playfully and leaned down to plant a kiss on my mouth. He took me by the hand and led me down the hallway.
"Are we feeling frisky?" I teased.
He chuckled a bit but instead started pulling clothes out of my closet until he found the wall at the back. I watched in confusion as he removed a piece of the floor that had been covered by a moving box and tossed out a black duffel bag.
"What the hell?"
He ignored me and opened it up so I could see the several thousands of dollars he had in there and what looked like a tiny handgun and passports.
"What is this?"
He handed me the passports and I looked them over. One was for me and one for Anna.
"If anything is to ever happen, Anna is instructed to get you out of the country immediately." He said sternly.
"What about you?"
"I'm a liability, Olivia," He responded and tossed the bag on the bed. "I'll always find you, but she knows to keep everything a secret. I have no idea where you'll go if this happens. There's enough money in here for both of you for years."
"Stop!" I shouted and shook my head. "I don't want to even think about this, Alessio."
"Olivia, I'm being practical. If things ever get bad and you are in danger, I need to protect you. Anna is the safest option and she'll keep you safe."
Tears stung the corners of my eyes. The idea of being away from Alessio made me sick.
"I...I can't be away from you."
He stood up from the ground and pulled me close to him. "It's only a precaution, Olivia. I just want you to keep this bag close to you. It doesn't mean it happens today, tomorrow, or ever."
I pressed my face tight against his chest so he couldn't see me cry. The tears were already pouring down my cheeks.
I felt stupid for crying at all, honestly. Anyone in my position would understand why Alessio would've had this plan, but the thought of it ever being a reality was terrifying.
"Do you understand?" He asked as he stroke my back.
"I do."
"Good," He pulled back and wiped my cheeks with his thumbs. "Pack a few things for tonight and I'll have some of my men bring the rest of your stuff to the hotel later. I'll have everything set up before Anna arrives."
"You promise to give my idea a chance?"
He nodded and kissed my head, "I promise love."
I pulled back from him a bit and looked over at the bag on the bed. That duffel bag could change my entire future with Alessio in an instant.
