What remains of her home

A girl lies in a deep cryogenic sleep, the room around her cold and wet. Water droplets drip from atop the ceiling and splash down into a flooded floor. The wood boards creak from above the cellar as the wind from the outside rushes past.

The sleeping chamber, the girl resides in has done well to keep her safe and cozy from the harsh environments. The girl with her long brunette hair and pretty pale skin hugs a brown teddy bear tightly. She sleeps well as if she was in rem sleep.

The sleeping chamber then begins to light up all its light blue lighting turning red and begins to defrost the sleeping child. After a few minutes, the hatch opens and lets all its suppressed air out, letting the cold air rush in towards the sleeping child.

The girl starts to shift and turn in her sleep, she tries reaching for a blanket only to roll off the chamber and fall on her side. She is jolted awake and begins to cry but after a bit, she realizes no one has come to her aid. The little girl gets up and with her teddy goes to investigate what may have caused the lack of a response.

As the girl walks through the flooded rooms, she eventually comes across a staircase that is in terrible condition. The child begins to climb up the stairs as she reaches the top of plank caves in on itself. The girl stares in wonderment but continues investigating.

The child comes into a hallway that leads toward what should have been a kitchen, but she takes note of the lack of a roof and two walls. She continues down the ruined house trying to find anyone to help her, Soon the girl becomes more on edge, and to comfort her she squeezed her teddy.

A loud racket is heard from the back of the house causing the child to jump. She runs and hides under a ruined table in the center of the kitchen. "Mr. Umbrage, I am scared." The child tells her teddy holding him tightly.

She looks at him for a few moments and then down the hall. "You are right, Mr. Umbrage. We need to see if it's someone there," the girl says confidently and begins her walk down the hall. She slowly creeps into the room that the sound came from.

The roof had caved in long ago and the bed that lay in the center was falling apart, due to exposure to the elements. On the bed rested the remains of two humans that have been long gone and their bones are eroded and cracked. "Hello?" The girl asks cautiously stepping in and looking around.

She looks over at the skeleton that rests on the bed. "Hi, I was wondering if you know where I-" the girl stops mid-sentence and takes a second look at the skeletons. She realizes that they are no longer able to answer her and with a heavyweight, on her lungs, she walks out.

The girl looks at her teddy and tilts her head. "Mr. Umbrage, what do we do know?" She asks her teddy walking out towards the outer door. The girl exits the ruined house waving it a 'goodbye' before stepping into a wasteland.

In front of the young child lies a barren land of destroyed buildings, decayed roads, and broken down cars that have succumbed to rust. The child walks down the street heading towards the giant buildings in hopes of finding other people. As she got closer the sun had begun to set and strange sounds came with the night.
