Lunch Date

"So, You have been keeping Pearl company?" Bismuth cooed nudging Pearl in a joking manner. I smile and dismissively wave my hand. "No, nothing like that. She has just been helping me understand the culture of this planet and making sure I am okay." I say in a calm tone.

Lapis looks at me with a raised brow, her arms crossed, and doesn't seem to be swayed by my explanation. "Right, you have been in the beach house for two weeks now and you are just now meeting us?" Lapis start gesturing one of her hands toward the group. "I think Pearl here was trying to keep you to herself because for the first time in a while something interesting has happened," Lapis said looking over at Peridot who was playing with a fidget spinner.

Pearl jumps up and waves over one of the waitresses. "I would like two glasses of water. Please." She says so rushed that the waitress looks confused for a second. Lapis sighs and looks over at the sweet waitress,  "she wants two glasses of water, and can you and the kid's meal onto that." Lapis says calmly.

Peridot flashes a bright green and hits Lapis. "Hey! I am capable of ordering for myself!" Peridot squeaks playfully hitting Lapis. Bismuth laughs and hits the table in enjoyment. "Add a burger onto that, please. Want anything Revi?" Bismuth asks catching me off guard since I was enjoying the group's interactions with each other.

"Um, I guess a salad?"I told her. I have no idea why they want to eat it isn't necessary, but it's fun having a lunch date. The waitress nodded and walked towards the kitchen. Lapis looked over at Pearl, "You can sit down now." Lapis said leaning on her hand watching Peridot sit down in a huff.

Pearl blushed and sat back down beside Bismuth and me, I smiled at her and she began to blush again. Did I do something? Hope I didn't embarrass her... "So is beach city the only place gems live?" I ask looking around the restaurant that had a mix of gems and humans of all kinds. Bismuth looked at me and shook her head happily. "At first yes. Humans weren't too keen on Aliens living everywhere but Connie and Steven got old enough to become the ambassadors for the gem kind. Huge title I know, Connie mostly does the work. Steven has to just help with understandings. But ever since that Gems live everywhere in the USA and United kingdom." Bismuth told me smiling gleefully.

Wow... Steven seems to have to change the Universe for the better. Emerald really is wrong. "Anyway, Revi where are you from?" Peridot asked finally acknowledging my existence. "Uh, Revitil..." I mutter lowly and shirk down a bit. "Say wha-?" Peridot asks putting her fidget spinner down completely.

Bismuth glares at Peridot as if saying 'drop it', Peridot reads the and drops her conversation. "Looks like the foods here," Lapis says sitting up to let the waitress put the food down. Peridot tries to reach across the table to grab her food before Lapis pushes her back in the child's chair.

"Hey!" Peridot starts earning a glare from everyone else at the table. "Manners," Pearl says and grabs her water, and hands me one. The waitress hands me the salad I ordered. Bismuth rubs her hands to gather as the waitress sets this giant burger in front of her. "Thank you." Bismuth says calmly.

Lapis hands Peridot her kids meal and thanks to the waitress before she leaves. "Awww... It's just another Pino." Peridot whines looking at the toy. Lapis rolls her eyes and huffs. "We could have told you that. But no you thought that you would get a different one even though they have been sold out." Lapis said sarcastically. Bismuth finished her burger and nodded in agreement.

That was fast, I haven't even tried my salad. I look down at the food I had order taking a small nibble the taste was bland and pointless so I pushed it away. Bismuth tilted her head and looked at me. "What's wrong, Revi?" Bismuth asked calmly.

The salad is tasteless and I don't see why you guys wish to eat? I look at her and smile and wave my hands in a dismissive manner. "Nothing is wrong, I just am not hungry," I tell her looking at the devil food. I am not hungry or at least I wasn't until they told me to make a stomach. Now I am hungry but I don't wanna eat that.

Lapis sighs and looks at me, "You need to add the ranch to it." She says to hand the ranch and putting some on it. "Try it now," Lapis tells me pushing the food back towards me. I sigh pick up the fork and taking another bite. It is not that bad. I mean I still don't like the leaf but the ranch makes up for it.

We finished our food and Me and Pearl decided to head back to the beach house since it was almost dusk. I didn't realize that we spent the whole afternoon talking there.

"Bismuth was fun to talk to! Lapis and Peridot didn't really socialize with much though. But, Pearl were you okay back there?" I ask shutting the screen door behind me as I walk in. Pearl stood in the middle of the kitchen quietly muttering to herself. "Pearl?" I called out trying to get her out of her trance.

Pearl jumps startle by the fact she isn't alone and looks at me, "Oh, Revi. Yes, I am fine, just tired." Pearl says pulling off a very fake smile. I don't know if I should push this or not. "If you want to talk I am here okay?" I tell her and walk over to the living room letting her think about what I said.

"Captian Oynx, We have had no luck with the Painite recapture on Revitil, Erinir, or Homeworld." A Ruby tells me in a saluting manner. "Then why are you here?" I ask them trying not to turn around and snap their gem in two. The Ruby stumbles a bit from my tone but maintains position. "Ma'am, Emerald has sent a Sapphire to assist us. May I send her in?" The Ruby askes timidly.

I growl and look out at the Universe. It's too big for us to search without some form of heading... Though future vision is foggy and may at times be the wrong path. I look at Ruby and nod watch her stumble to reach the door and grab the Sapphire. "Captian Oynx, It is a pleas-" The Sapphire starts. I already don't like her... Let's get this over with. "Where is the Fugitive Painite?" I interrupt the Sapphire mid-sentence.

The Sapphire pauses partly in shock and partly because she is now looking for the answer. "Earth." She tells me. I growl and lifted her by the neck. "And you are sure of this?" I demand starting at her making her look at me. "If I was not you would shatter me. You are planning to keep me until your mission is complete. I have no plan on lying." The Sapphire says calming repeat my ever-loving nerves.

Smart... I turn to the Peridot controlling the ship. "Set a course for Earth we have a gem to shatter and a tablet to retrieve," I order putting the Sapphire down and sitting in my chair.
