Short peace...

In the second part of the Pearl x Painite, hope you enjoy these short stories. Warning there May be some triggering subjects.

'It's been a couple of days since I crashed onto this planet and meet Pearl. I have been having nightmares of what happened before I even hopped into the ship.

I was on homeworld with Onyx and some Rubies. We were gathering information on the Diamonds and how to defeat every one of the Crystal Gems. "We can't do this Onyx... It's going to kill so many innocent people." I tell my close friend Onyx as I watch her shatter a Topaz.

Oynx turns to me with a tired expression on her face. "Painite, give me the tablet," Oynx says sticking her hand out and demanding the device. "No! We can't!" I plead with her watching her look at the Rubies who are whispering amongst themselves.

Onyx draws her blade and points it at me with hatred in her eyes. "Ethier hand me the tablet, or I will shatter you right here Revi," Oynx growls at her own words. "I won't," I tell her choking back tears and I force the tablet into my gem.

Oynx charges at me as I shut my eyes ready for her to run me through... It never came I open my eyes to notice she missed and was preparing to try again. I dash down towards the ships and take off in one of them...'

I slowly set up from the floor and look around. Oynx missed because if she shattered me the tablet would be lost. I sigh and place both my hands onto my gem. "How did you sleep, Revi?" Pearl asked coming over and sitting beside me.

She looks at me and her expression changes from relaxed to concern. "Is something wrong?" Pearl asks place her hand on my shoulder causing me to flinch. I turn to her and place a half-hearted smile waving my hands in the air. "No. I am all good!" I exclaimed trying to keep myself composed.

Pearl seems to see through my facade but doesn't push which I was grateful for. "Well, I wanted to show you around town. That is if you care to see." Pearl says standing up gracefully and extending her hand for me to grab on to.

I smile and take it standing easily with her help. "We do we start?" I ask curiously. Pearl gets a very excited look on her and rushes me out the door almost causing me to stumble backward. How long was she alone for?

I stopped and stare at a human and gem hangout like they aren't different, It makes me feel somewhat happy. "Soooo, what's the story here?" I ask her causing Pearl to backtrack and look at me.

"You don't know?" She asks me with a bit of suspicion in her tone. Shit, was I supposed to? What if she finds out? "I mean, I can't recall... Mind telling me?" I ask prepared for her to pull out her weapon and run me through.

Pearl smiles and getting a loving smile on her. "Follow me. I can show you where it ALL began." Pearl said and swiftly guided me to what seemed like a kindergarten.

I look around in awe. This was just like the one on Revitil and Erinir. Where I and Oynx came from... "What began here?" I asked Pearl and watched her sit on a machine.

Pearl looked up into the cavern longingly. "Long ago, Pink Diamond took over Earth as her domain. She starts a kindergarten and began colonizing it. But she was extremely lonely... Soo, she took on the alas of Rose Quartz. She fell in love with the Earth and Humans." Pearl said and looked down.

I walked over to her. "And then what happened?" I asked leaning my shoulder on the machine.

Pearl glance over at me before returning her gaze to the sky. "Pink begged her sisters to stop the colonizing of Earth and move on to another planet. But they told her, no, So she faked her own death and started a rebellion to free Earth from the Diamonds." Pearl said looking at an unusually small amethyst hole.

I glanced over as well. "Why not just pretend to colonize it and just not?" I asked Pearl.

Pearl paused as if in thought. "They wouldn't have believed that. You know that with the colonizing of a planet, the planet is destroyed." She said sadly.

Pearl then continued her story. "After years upon years of war, the Diamonds put it all to an end by shooting a ray that corrupted the gems on the planet. I and the other crystal gems survived. But Rose eventually fell for a human." Pearl sighed.

I looked at her and sighed. "I know the most of that story, Steven Universe the war with the diamonds and Spinel," I tell her trying to put such a burden on her.

Pearl looked at me and smiled. "After Spinel little homeworld really took off. But we all failed to notice the stress everything put on Steven, So much that he ended up becoming his own problems. But eventually, he got professional and now he and Connie have both moved on from this little town." Pearl started to tear up.

I began to freak out and in swift action, I hug her. I feel Pearl tense up in my grasp but she didn't pull away. "Heh... I miss them. Garnet, Amethyst, Steven, Connie, and even Greg. They all left and now I am all alone." She says placing her clenched fist on my chest.

I sigh and pat her head in a calming manner. She is just like me. I don't have anyone anymore... "Pearl, You aren't alone anymore. I am here and I won't go anywhere." I hushed her moving my hands to pull her tighter into the hug.

After a while, Pearl and I left the kindergarten. She showed me around beach city, I really enjoyed hanging with her. She even helped me open a door to the crystal gem rooms. I am starting to feel like I have a home.

"You let her escape, Oynx." A Ruby said undermining my intentions. I look over at them lifting them by their neck. "Did I now? Tell me what else I did?" I said tilting my ear to hear their pathetic whining.

"I-" The Ruby stutters as I watch her gem start cracking. "I, what?" I growl tightening my grip on the gem then shatters under the pressure.

I huff turning my attention to the rest of the Rubies. "Anybody else, want to say what happened with me and that Painite?" I ask gesturing my hands in a welcoming manner. I watch them all coward back.

"So let me get this straight... A Painite backstabbed you, and they are alive?" My Emerald huffed having her Pearl writing everything down. "It happened but it will not happen a second time. I am going to get it back and shatter her." I tell her kneeling to the ground and keeping my head down.

"Then do so." My Emerald demands as she waves me off. "As you wish." I sign to her and walk out of the courtroom.
