"Wow," Vic spoke, her jaw hanging open ready for flies to settle in.
I had told her what went down last night, as I rummaged through my more than messy closet for an outfit, tonight.
To my displeasure I was going to Club X in NYC for the party hosted by Modeling Inc. Kelsey was going to meet me there at exactly 8pm so we could go in together.
What possessed her with this idea? I had no idea. We've never went in together before.
"Was he hot at least?" Dressed in loungewear, Vic had her legs folded on top of my bed while she played with her split ends.
Ignoring her, I pull out a dark green dress and lift it in the air, inspecting it. "You like this?"
"Definitely not and don't ignore my question. Spill." She was now laying flat on her stomach with her hand holding her face up, staring directly at me with a mischievous smirk on her face.
"Fine. He was hot, but an ass." I wasn't going to admit to her that I kind of wanted to run into him again. The events of last night replaying in my head like a song I heard hundreds of times.
"I freaking knew it," Vic laughs snorting a little. "So not a potential...love interest?"
She already knew my answer to this, because I've been telling her the same answer for years.
"Vic, I'm not ready. Especially not now." I throw the dress that was still on the hanger behind me and stuck my head back into the overfilled closet. In attempt to change the subject I point out her recent texting habits this past week.
"Speaking of guys...don't think I didn't forget about you having your nose in your phone all week. Who's the boy?" I ask already knowing it was Miles.
"What? There is no guy, silly." Vic was a terrible liar. I mean the worst and it was written all over her flustered face. Putting both hands on my hips, I turn around and give her a who are you trying to fool look. Because it definitely wasn't me.
Heat rose to her cheeks in an instant making her pale skin a rosy blush color. "It's Miles, but you knew that." Nodding I insist she continue. "I didn't want to say anything because I wasn't so keen on moving on from Jett so quickly but I can't help it. We kind of flirted at the gym when you ditched me too."
She what ? I drop the current burgundy dress that was just in my hands on the already messy pile of clothes on the ground and turn around.
"You what?! And you didn't tell me. Vic you have to stop doing that." I whined.
"I know, I know. It won't happen again. Now let me see what I can do because you are not wearing that green dress."
Vic lazily leaves my bed and heads for the door, when she comes back a black see through chiffon dress is in her hands.Where the hell did she get that?
"Oh no. I am not wearing that."
"Come on, don't be a wuss. You'll grab every guy's attention at that party. Unless you want only one certain boy's attention instead." She finishes, wriggling her eyebrows at me.
I know she isn't suggesting what I think she's suggesting.
Grabbing the dress from her hands with more force than I intended, I head to the bathroom to undress.
