Chapter 4

"I know she usually doesn't cry a lot", said Silvia, "But I wonder why she doesn't cry at all in front of His Highness and His Majesty. "She's young, but she knows by instinct. She recognizes that it's her father and uncle", answered Isabella.

'I do recognize them, but it's not by instinct' I thought while pouting. 'Don't misunderstand' as I started flapping on the bed.

"But they really don't look alike at all. She doesn't have have crimson red hair as His Highness. Even their features don't match", said Silvia putting her hand on her chin. "People wouldn't know unless someone told them", continued Isabella. 'Is this about my mother again?

My mother was the first and only princess of the current Obelia. She was known for her kind and sunny personality, and was loved by everyone in the empire. My dad was made her playmate when they were small and that's when they started having feelings. Even if she knew that she was going to die, she still gave birth to me. A similar situation like Claude and Diana.

I can't even imagine what mother thought of while she protected me all throughout the time.

'You again? 

"Is it because I'm here?", he said with a smirk on his face.

'Well you're free to imagine!

'Ugh, why is he here all the time', I angrily thought sucking on my pacifier, 'though Via and Ella(nicknames, I'm tired of calling their full names) seem to be happy about it.

This situation seems advantageous for me since my mother is his first love.

A chibi version shows Via saying, "He's here today, too" and Ella replying, "I know".

Felix pulled the pacifier out of Anastasia's mouth. 'My precious pacifier!!!'

"Do you want this?", he asked with a devilish smirk on his face. 

'Aughh.... Damn you!!! Give me back my pacifier!! NOW!!', I said in my mind flapping the bed with a mad expression.

Felix's eyes widened a bit, "You can even make a funny expression".

THIS IS MY MAD FACE-!! THIS IS HIS PROBLEM!!

INSTEAD OF TREATING ME LIKE A DAUGHTER, HE THINKS I AM A TOY TO PLAY WITH WHEN HE IS BORED!!!

"Her eyes are too blue, they're unpleasant.", he said.

'Well all Obelian descendant's eyes are blue!'

"Much too blue."

'Every descendant's eyes are blue, I say!!', with a vein popping on my forehead.

"Makes me want to gouge them out"

I flinched. WHAT DID HE JUST SAY!!!

"Haha! What a foolish expression", saying that Felix smiled.

He...... He's insane.

I trembled. 'He is going to harass me again?!'

Felix popped the pacifier back into her mouth.

'Huh?'

"You're really quite small", he said.

'What nonsense are you saying now?'

'This darn brat is doing it again, I won't listen to the likes of.....

"Hmm......", said Felix with a amused face.

'Darn it!

No, my body just did that on its own.' Imaginary tears started to fall.

'But I can't help it, I need to survive.'

"Your Highness!"

Felix glanced as a knight entered the room. 

"The captives from Sycansia have arrived."

"Tell Claude to take care of.... No.

Throw them all in the prison for now. I shall personally handle what comes after that."

"What about the King of Sycansia, then?", asked the knight as sweat rolled down his forehead.

Felix stroked Anastasia's head and said, "Set a date and have him executed."

Felix chuckled, "Aren't you pitiful, being born to a father like me."

"It makes me think of that woman who desperately wanted you to be born."

'............. Again, Is it because I'm a baby? He makes such an empty expression and he looks almost dejected.'

"Cry now."

'Damn you little-,

I was an idiot to take him seriously!'

"I heard that infants are supposed to cry all the time. Perhaps, she is under-developed", he said placing his hand on his chin.
