Take Me Back To The Start

This is going to be classified as a drabble just because of the length. A Spoiler Alert is in effect for people who haven't watched up to 4×04 in Glee

They walked home in complete silence.

They get ready for bed in complete silence, being careful not to accidentally run into each other.

They laid next to each other in complete silence.

And Kurt hated every second of it.

The comforter rustled on the opposite side as Kurt heard the faint whimpers of Blaine's quiet sobs. He wanted nothing more than to wrap his arms around him, shield him from the world, but he couldn't. He didn't.

Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry

You don't know how lovely you are

I had to find you, tell you I need you

Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions

Oh, let's go back to the start

Kurt couldn't really describe how he was feeling other than heartbroken. He wasn't mad, he wasn't resentful. He was just...so sad. So disappointed. He knew how bad Blaine felt, but you couldn't change the past. He had done it. He had cheated.

Running in circles, coming up tails

Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy

It's such a shame for us to part

No one ever said it would be this hard

He always knew their relationship wouldn't be easy, especially since he's been in New York, and for some reason, he blamed himself. He had abandoned Blaine. None of this would be happening if he had just...stayed.

Oh, take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures

Pulling the puzzles apart

Questions of science, science and progress

Do not speak as loud as my heart

But tell me you love me, come back and haunt me

Oh and I rush to the start

Running in circles, chasing our tails

Coming back as we are

But on the other hand, Blaine had basically kicked him out of Lima when he realized that Kurt was unhappy. Now though, he would give anything just to go back to those days in high school where everything was simpler. Not high school in general, but when he and Blaine were just so easy with each other.

Kurt caved, encircling his arm around Blaine's waist, a small gasp escaping his lips, which quickly turned into a sigh of relief. Even in complete darkness, Kurt could make out every one of Blaine's features as he pulled his shaking body to his chest. His sobs eventually turned into faint whimpers, and he dozed off, snoring slightly. Kurt always found it adorable, the way Blaine slept, but he couldn't think about that right now, a few tears escaping and wetting his cheeks.

They would deal with this in the morning.
