{'.~Chapter 18~.'}

When all the ceremonial shit was over Gon and Killua made their way back to their class. They were all trying to shout over each other to be heard and it was hurting his ears. Killua was about to unleash his bloodlust when Gon reached up and covered his ears. He sighed, and everybody slowly fell silent. Gon uncovered his ears and Denki spoke up from the back. "so who wins the bet?" oh right. Gon and Killua just kind of looked at each other for a moment. "well we did determine that you would win before the match started-"Ochako cut them off. "how?" Gon giggled. "we played rock paper scissors in the waiting room and I won" the entire class was confused and he didn't blame them. "I was planning on fighting for 35 minutes before throwing the battle but we tied instead" jaws dropped and people gasped.

Then Mina decided to change the topic. "oh Gon! Did you like those pockeys?" Killua leveled a glare at her, then Gon ruined it. "oh yeah! I shared some with Killua too!" mina paused for a moment, then looked kind of sad. Hah, she thinks it never happened. A few minutes passed and Gon talked to them, Killua didn't talk much but that was fine. They made their way back to school and Killua and Gon changed into their altered uniforms, putting the metal on the chokers that both of them had. Killua's was blue, and Gon's was green.

As they walked through the hallways back to their class people stopped to congratulate them, people they didn't even know. Gon just smiled and waved, but Killua narrowed his eyes as some people tried to hit on him, only for the flirting to blow completely over his head. He has no clue what's happening, but if someone touches him I'm going to kill someone. They entered the door and everybody greeted them. Gon followed him back to his chair and sat with him, they couldn't fit properly but there was no way Gon would back down now. He let out a sigh, then leaned backwards. Killua glanced to the only empty seat. Iida's always punctual. He didn't dwell on that thought for too long because he had fallen asleep on Gon's shoulder.

The next morning Gon and Killua both woke up to rain. "well shit" thankfully they had put a blanket over their tree so they didn't get wet along with their essentials. Izuku came walking up with an extra umbrella. "hey guys, I thought you might need one" so they walked with Izuku to school. Gon kissed him on the cheek a few times before Killua stopped, gave him one long kiss, and then kept walking. Izuku looked slightly uncomfortable but he said nothing. "stop! There's people here Baka!" Gon pouted, "but-" Killua shushed him. "no. I said no acting like a couple in public" he frowned slightly. "I only did that because I knew you wouldn't stop antagonizing me until we got to U.A, also your making Izuku uncomfortable" not that Killua really cared about anybody except Gon, but Izuku was okay.

Gon subsided, "oh fine, sorry Izu" Gon had started to call Izuku by a nickname that he only didn't mind because he knew they were dating. If he was anyone else Killua would have been furious. Suddenly Iida ran past them and Killua caught a glimpse of his eye. As soon as he saw it Killua stopped. What the hell was that? He had seen sadness and anger In those eyes, and that worried him. Gon glanced up at him but he kept walking, trying to shake it off. Maybe it was my imagination?

When they got into the classroom everybody stopped and stared. Well, I mean they were holding hands due to Killua losing the bet. but I also got to design Gon's hero costume! Gon was just as happy as usual but he kept up his cold demeanor. He saw mina looking at them with a smirk and he gave her a glare. Why? That face makes me feel- urgg! He turned away when Gon started to drag him over to his seat by the window. "go find your own seat baaka!" he turned away to hide his slight blush. "the bet was to hold your hand the entire day! That means we have to sit together" damn it, he's right. Killua grabbed Gon's chair and put it next to his at the same desk. "happy?" Gon nodded and sat down, rubbing his palm a bit with a thumb. That feels so weird, but also kind of nice? I'm in school! Do work!

When everybody eventually came, class started. "okay class, it's time to pick your hero identities" everybody cheered, except Killua but that was to be expected. "by extending offers to students like you, heroes are investing in your potential" the old man sighed, then put up a projection. "here's the totals for those of you who got offers" the class gaped at the numbers.

Killua had expected most of the same agencies to choose them both, but why had Gon gotten more than him? Well I mean, he's perfect and happy. I'm way too cold. What didn't help, was that they were the first people in the school's history to get a tie on the finals. Killua had wanted to stay on the low. But the sports festival had brought out his competitive spirit and ruined that.

The other students were happy that people chose them though, that's because they want to stand out. Gon leaned on his shoulder with a sigh, and Killua removed his hand from Gon's and put an arm around him instead. "now, your hero names will be stuck to you forever. Take them seriously or-" the door opened and midnight swaggered in. "you'll have hell to pay later" she went up to the front of the podium next to Eraserhead. "yeah, she's going to have final approval over your names" whiteboards with dry erase markers were passed out. Literally 5 seconds passed when Aoyama went to the front and held up his sign. "I cannot stop twinkling~" Killua snorted and Gon giggled a bit. They had no ideas so they decided to watch for now.

There were a few good ones like, 'Earphone Jack' and 'Froppy' but then there were people who came up with shit like, 'pinky' and 'Grape Juice' how were those even hero names? What even is a hero name? Gon was writing down a few ideas so he peeked over his shoulder. Green hunter, Freeces, Loperi- the fuck? The hell was that last one? He also noticed that Gon had started making a list for him too. Blue hunter, Godspeed, Sapphire, White skater, Electric Glacier- half of those made no sense. It made him seem like someone who liked ice. Then he realized some of them were written in slightly fancier writing. You're so confusing. He started to count the seconds as the went by. Then gasped, getting an idea. Gon caught on and smiled, "it's perfect!"
