It's been almost a month since an unknown existence began an attack on our Earth. Since they first attacked at Los Angeles, as well as our base, they have not attempted any attack. However, this does not mean that we fall asleep on our laurels. In such a short time, we managed to expand our base underground and deploy more traps and cameras throughout the city at night. Now the building was really impregnable and no one had a chance to get in but not out if it was necessary. Every time I went out, I had my face covered and the strange device on my eyes that showed hidden. However, from a certain moment, when more and more cities began to fall, they did not want to let me out of the building. They say I'm far too important to survive that they won't risk losing me.

Even my best friends supported this opinion, so I had no choice. For days, I helped expand the shelter and figure out how to save the rest of the people who survived. Similar shelters have been created around the world like ours but they have not been as secure as this. We were able to set up a communication line between other cities that the creatures didn't have a chance to intercept. We shared most of the information with London Base for a simple reason. My parents. I needed to know if they were okay. Fortunately, they were in one of the bases but for my restlessness in the least secure.

There were only a few places left in the world that had not yet been attacked by a strange form of life for us. Our fortress shared all possible measures to make the shelters at least a little like ours. We still couldn't figure out why they were attacking us. We just know they call themselves People Of The Silver Prince. They have superhuman strength and see in the dark. They stop at nothing and almost nothing intimidates them. The attack on Los Angeles was the only one they failed to win and they were forced to withdraw. In just one month, there have been countless number of people here in the building. Everyone is worried about their lives and no wonder. Most of the places they came from were devastated and very few people survived.

There were expeditions, which were in charge of mapping the area and also of course, protecting people who needed to hide or to be sure that the necessary materials get into the building in safety and the required amount. We managed to create a similar device, which I had previously confiscated from the prisoner, so there was no risk of being attacked unprepared. I already missed the fresh air and the blue sky. I was locked between four walls for days but I didn't stop for a moment. Everyone needed help with something or my opinion on whether it was worth building, how to use all the materials, approval of missions, other degrees of protection and things like that. I had to be there for almost everything because I was delegated as the leader of the shelter.

I never did that to become a leader. I wanted to protect myself and my friends. Of course, I wanted to help other people as well but that was the original idea of it all. Now I'm sitting here in something resembling a meeting room at the head of everyone here.

We only had a few places left to control the entire planet Earth and start building a new civilization of our empire on it. Of course, part of the population, the main one, would live on our home planet and we would simply move the others to this one. With the proviso that, of course, they could visit their homeland. After all, we would not let them stay somewhere, where there would be no possibility of escape. When we conquer the Earth, I still have a lot of things to do with it.

But I was still consumed by a single city. The city that rebelled against us and counterattacked. To make matters worse, the soldier was captured by us and they put some suspicious equipment on top of it. It bothered me how to control LA and put it on their knees. I consulted it with all sorts of people and looked for different ways to defeat the city in a calm and hassle-free way, mainly to lose as few people as possible but I didn't succeed. I must have had my shoes frayed from the constant marching around the ship and walking around without any suitable result.

Slowly, I gave up my hard work and preferred to call my two friends and best companions, whom I can always count on and I know he won't betray me. "What do you think we should do now?" I asked, glancing from one to the other.  "Attack only on Los Angeles, which will be a burden for us because he'll probably defend himself again or rather retreat and come up with something better while we finish the rest of the places we still lack?" I laughed but without a hint of amusement in my voice. "Feel free to suggest something too, I'm really in need."

"We could use the second version of the plan. It might be a little safer and then we'd go back and conquer LA in full force. "Zayn suggested, looking at us with raised eyebrows and a crooked smile." Well, that might be a good idea. Niall? " I turned my gaze on my other friend as well. He seemed to be thinking hard and couldn't decide. He could do anything with the military but he wasn't able much to think about complicated decisions. "I don't know, the second version looks good but wouldn't it be easier to just beat Los Angeles and then finish the others?" I had to smile at his answer. I was probably subconsciously expecting a similar answer.

"You're right and you're wrong but most of all you have to realize that LA isn't as weak as the other cities we've already ruled. They injured a few people and even though they were just weird, old models of weapons, they still work. "I smiled at them and finally decided on the second version of my plan. Maybe we'll make it. The situation will be a little longer but whatever. "Thank you guys, so get the army ready for more attacks. Divide them into several groups and each of you will take one. You're my most reliable friends, so I'm counting on you and most importantly, don't let anything happen to you." I ordered with a smile and let them leave to carry out my orders. This will be a long way to go before something real happens and we complete our mission.
