Few days have passed and Manik was busy in molding the album into perfection since the release date was near. Cavya also had a hectic schedule regarding their jobs as they were given the responsibility to promote the release of the album. Nandini too was engrossed in her studies and was obliged to visit the hospitals regularly because of the treatment of Rishabh. Manik's father looked for the best doctor for Rishabh and sent him to Mumbai to treat Rishabh.
The dusky atmosphere soon turned into a night with thousands of stars to beautify it. Nandini was sitting in the balcony reading a book when suddenly the book was snatched from her hands. Nandini looked up only to see Manik looking at her. Nandini said nothing and walked away from him. She sat on the bed sulking.
Manik- Gussa ho apne Mani pe? I am sorry baby I was stressed...Dhruv was making too many changes at the last moment...you know naa tomorrow is the release date.
Nandini- toh? I knew you were busy..we did not even spend much time together but I did not complain na...I just came there to request you to have dinner but you shouted at me. I felt so bad.........
Manik- Achaa sorryy baby iss baar mujhe maaf kardo...age se I won't shout. Come down and heat the food for me...tum toh Manik ki jaan ho naaa don't be angry plzzzz
Nandini melted on listening the 'jaan' word from him and went out of the room to heat his food. On going down, she saw David and Xavier sitting on the stairs and looking around as if they were gettting bored. Nandini understood them since it is difficult to be around someone and keep an eye on him/her on a consistent basis. They quickly got up and straightened their uniform with their hands. Nandini decided to tease them.
Nandini- ohh so you are sitting here....tumhe protect karne ke liye rakha hai yeh baithne ke liye
David- Sorry ma'am
Nandini- what sorry? what if Manik had seen you like this then?
Xavier- please ma'am don't tell him anything we will lose our job
Nandini- I have to tell him that you are not following me huh instead you are sitting here lazily.
Xavier- No ma'am please don't tell Manik sir...last time you told him that some students teased you, he was angry on us for not being around and as punishment, he left his cane corso dog behind us...we had to run to save our lives ma'am...
Nandini unable to control herself, she started laughing and Xavier and David were looking down.
Nandini- ohh god kitna darte ho tum log...I did not know about this cane corso dog incident...but don't worry please go and relax yourselves. I am sure you both are tired.
David- No ma'am we cannot leave you
Nandini- hey you can go...Manik is here he will protect me. You both have been roaming around with me the whole day...go to your family
Both thanked Nandini and retired to the quarters and Nandini came into the kitchen. After a while, Manik came and sat near the kitchen Island.
