☆It was the middle of May and Chris had just switched his homeroom class. Chris was already running late. He ran into the school and into his new homeroom. The teacher was waiting at her desk and gave Chris a disappointed look.

"Late on the first day of class Tyson? Take a seat next to Karl"

Though Chris didn't say anything he looked over to the only empty seat which happened to be next to Karl and his eyes rolled. Karl's eyes sadden seeing this. He's always chipper and always smiling. Chris hated him though. He has never gotten the chance to know him, he didn't want to, and never planned on it. Why? Because Karl is bisexual and everyone knows. Word spread quickly around the small school after he came out and the second Chris found out it was determined that he would never be friends with him. Karl is loved around the school for his happy attitude and getting along with everyone. But Chris said he'll never fall for his tricks. Annoyed, he walked over to the empty seat and tossed his backpack on the floor. Karl looked at him and smiled but Chris just glared and looked away.

Karl had a dropping feeling in his stomach. People don't hate him. He's always adored but why doesn't Chris seem to like him. He started thinking of if he could have possibly done anything wrong to him. But nothing came to mind. Maybe he was just in a bad mood? He was running late after all. He thought to himself of making an attempt later to try and become friends with him even though it seemed as though Chris had no interest in it.

 TIME SKIP

After class Chris immediately got up from his chair and started to walk out of the classroom not wanting to be next to the boy any longer than he had already. After Karl saw him walk away he followed him and try to start a conversation hoping it to bloom a new friendship."Oh hey Chris wait up!" he said.

Chris stopped in his tracks not because he was actually listening to the boy he hated but because he was in shock of hearing it. He turned back to look at the shorter boy trying to catch up. His eyes narrowed and he turned back to continue walking.

Karl slowed down and had that same feeling he had at the beginning of class. Did he not like the fact that someone doesn't like him or is there another reason? Was there something special about Chris?

As the next two weeks past the same thing would continue. Karl would try to talk to Chris but Chris would just sit down next to him and wouldn't even look at him let alone want to talk to him. Chris was raised with strong beliefs. He was raised to be a Christian and was taught many things and one of them being God hates gays. Karl falling into one of the categories made Chris not want to associate himself with him one bit. it was bad enough that pride month would be coming up soon and he needs to see those people walking around. Chris's family protested the parade every year and he has seen Karl there before walking around with the rainbow pride flag around him and pride flags painted on his cheeks. Karl had never recognized is Chris there before though.

This was really getting to Karl so he went to talk to his homeroom teacher about it after class ended.

"Excuse me, Miss?"

"What is it Karl?" she asked

He put his head down. "Well you see, Chris has been ignoring me completely and it seems like he hates me..."

"Would you liked your seat to be moved?"

His head shot back up. "Oh no! I was just wondering if you could possibly make us closer somehow. I know sounds this sounds weird but he's the only person who doesn't like me but I think if we got to know each other then we could become really close." Karl said trying to convince her.
