Chapter Thirteen

"Okay Miss L/n, your free to go" Your docter patted your shoulder as he scooted away to dispose of your disgusting cast. "Thanks" You moved your leg for a few seconds before hopping down from the hospital bed and walking slowly out of the room.

You yelped when you almost ran into a few nurses who walked past you. "Sorry" You muttered miserably, you pinched your arm while continuing on with walking. You were out of your mind at the moment, the events from yesterday was confusing and left you with strange butterflies in your stomach. You tried to text and call Taishiro, but everything went to voicemail or unanswered. You sighed heavily as you rose a hand to fiddle with your cold chains that wrapped around your waist and shoulders. Dammit Y/n...

"You ready to go?" A man in a slick black suit interrupted your thoughts. "I'll walk home" You muttered at the man, Taishiro sent him to take you to the hospital to take you cast off.

"Fatgum said that I would take you to get lunch before taking you home" The man ushered you out of the lobby and to a black car. "No thanks. I want to walk home" You pushed away from the tall man and turned to walk. "Miss, i don't think it's safe for you to be walking around alone with your mother missing"

"Shut up, I can take care of myself" You realized that the man had taken a menacing step forwards. "Young lady, Fatgum sa-"

"Yeah yeah, and Fatgum isn't my dad. Bye" You quickly took full advantage of your healed leg and ran, your chains shook happily at your mobility. "Miss!" The man yelled out as he tried to keep up with you, you snickered to yourself as you quickly lost the older man. Not even a few minutes had passed and you had lost the man completely.

"Whew" You patted your chains as they wrapped around your chest and waist in happiness, you placed your hands on your knees and bent down to take in a few gasps of air. "I need to get back in shape..." You stood up once again and casually began to walk again.

You took your time to get home as you wanted to look around for awhile, you wanted to check the places your mom would usually go to and shop. But to your luck she left no traces of herself, the usual employees all told you she seemed fine when they saw her shop.

When you did get home you were greeted by a not so happy Taishiro.

"L/n where were you? I thought you- never mind, why didn't you get in the car? Something could've happened to you" Taishiro followed you inside your house as you groaned.

"I wanted to walk home, there was no harm in it" You sipped on a juice box as you watched Taishiro rub the bridge of his nose. "Y/n, listen you have to stay in one place or something might happen!"

"Hold on Tai, I wanna talk about something" You stopped the large male with a wave of your hand. You wanted to smirk when Taishiro's face went pale and his movements became sloppy.

"Y-Yes?"

"Why'd you kiss me?" You asked as blandly as you could, but curiosity edged your tone.

"Why'd I-..." Taishiro clasped a hand over his mouth in embarrassment. " I apologize for that, I shouldn't have done it. It was inappropriate and immature"

You frowned as your heart sank to the pits of your stomach. "But Tai, why'd you do it?" You asked once again.

"...I uh had to know...if..." Taishiro struggled to get his words out. "If my feelings were just playing tricks on me.."

Feelings? He has feelings for me?

"Did you find out if it was just a in the moment thing? Or do you still have those feelings?" You scooted closer as Taishiro became too flustered to speak. "I- I don't know, Y/n. I just think it's best that I stay away from you" Taishiro peeked out from behind his hand and glanced down at you.

"But I want to have you around me, you make me feel happy" You grasped his hand in yours and stared into his golden eyes. Oh God this probably won't end well...

This is so cheesy Y/n! You sighed inwardly before standing on your tippy toes and somehow managed to kiss Taishiro on the cheek. Curse this tree! You avoided eye contact when you backed away with your hands still lingering in the older males.

"..." Taishiro gazed down with a blank expression, he opened his mouth to say something but quickly shut it when he realized he didn't have any words.

"I uh, guess I'm gonna go now" You scooted away awkwardly as the silence grew between the two of you.

"What do you mean...? This is your house" Taishiro managed to choke out the words as he raised his eyebrows in confusion.

"Pfft, whoops. I guess I'll just leave you in the kitchen" You scooted out of the kitchen as the shocked Taishiro stood in silence. "Yeah uh help yourself to anything..." You plopped down on the couch and quickly snatched up the remote to choose a show. Please let something good be on! I need a distraction. You glanced over your shoulder to see if Taishiro had followed you to the living room, but he didn't. Something squirmed inside of you. I kinda wanted him to follow. You quickly slapped your hand at the thought.

"Eh? L/n, are you okay?" Taishiro's voice bounced off the walls of your house.

"Uh, yeah. A fly landed on me" You mumbled.

I apologize for such a short, unedited chapter. I'm busy packing for camp tomorrow and I'm just stressed out. (And I have writers block, which SUCKS)

I'll try to write more while I'm at camp, but I can't promise anything.
