Chapter 2
I tilted my head to the right and gave her a low five.
"Natan naman, eh!" asar na sabi niya.
I chuckled. "Ano ba kasi yon?"
She rolled her eyes. "Don't 'ano ba yon' me, ha! Assignment mo sa math, pakopya."
"Kiss mo muna pwet ko?" pang aasar ko.
Sumimangot siya at umambang manghahampas. "Parang tanga.
"Oh! Iiyak ka na, eh."
"Pakyu ka, sagad." sabi niya pa bago nag umpisang mangopya.
Tumingin ako ulit sa labas ng bintana at nagmuni-muni.
It's been a year since I last saw my Mom, and talked to my Dad. I don't know if they're still fixing my papers for the custody of which ever got it or I'm gonna be stuck here forever.
They were actually expecting me to be the one who'll look after the next members for the next years. Of course, it's a pleasure but it's also a big responsibility and has a lot of pressure.
Sa isang taon na kasali ako sa banda, I already contributed two instrumental composition that I made.
I stopped strumming the electric guitar and called Ate Luci. "Ate, can you try doing this..." I showed her how the sound goes like.
"Okay, okay." she said and get her bass guitar.
"Kuya Daniel, can you listen to us first and decide how the beat should sound like?" I asked him.
"Yeah, sure."
I suggest after seconds but it's up to you. Game?"
"Game!"
The moment I started strumming the guitar, I got fired up. The electricity I felt on my fingertips as it touched the strings came gushing from the nerves of my hands to the veins all over the body. My body can't contain that much enthusiasm that it made me smile the moment Kuya Daniel added some beat. We were playing our instrument without any guide or notes to follow but our hands knew what to do.
It was like we're just inside the music room but our souls are currently on cloud nine. The unknown feeling we had while doing our thing and making something we only discovered just now was beyond any of our beliefs.
Who knew that we were able to make something out of nowhere?
"Wow! That was a good one!" Kuya Reno entered the room clapping.
