The dream is drifting in my head as I slowly fall in and out of it

The dream is drifting in my head as I slowly fall in and out of it. After this month you'd think I deserve some sort of rest but obviously my life has to get in the way of that.

The faint sounds of gun shots is what actually disturbs my dream, I slowly awaken from my deep slumber to the sound ringing through my ears.

My eyes shoot open as my heart begins to race; I slowly lift my head up off the pillow as my blue eyes dart around my room. There is nothing there, but I know what I heard. I should probably get up and investigate but I'm tired and I want to sleep.

So instead of doing the smart but suicidal thing I choose sleep, I let my head fall back onto my pillow. I roll over getting comfy again pulling the duvet up to my neck so I'm snug.

I slowly fall into a sleep and after a long night, I can hear footsteps but knowing it's Scott's I don't care. I feel the bed dip beside me as he climbs in, he used to do this when we were younger but at the moment, I don't blame him.

I'm getting ready to forget this night all together until the sound of a wolf howling fills my ears. Mine and Scott's heads shoot up off the pillow as the sound rings through my ears ten times louder than the gun shots.

I feel this type of tug towards the howl, and I know why. The alpha is calling his pack, he's calling his betas. We're his betas, and he's technically our alpha so he's calling us!

I jump out of bed along with Scott who runs into his room to get changed whilst I scramble to get some clothes on. I'm already wearing shorts, so I just throw on my lacrosse hoodie before jumping out of my window.

Scott and I are running towards the preserve, there has been no more gun shots since we left but the smell of gun powder is prominent along with the strong stench of blood.

I feel my eyes change colour as I continue running leading the way as Scott follows closely behind. My eyes keep flashing to help me see better and direct me towards the best root.

I'm running through the preserve purely on instinct letting the wolf take over as it leads me to the alpha and possible hunters. I think back to the woman in my dream, it couldn't be her, could it?

"Bella" Scott calls slowing to a stop as he catches his breath, my wolf is growling at me to move forwards as well as help my brother.

My instincts are all over the place and I hate it, something feels so wrong. Like we need to be somewhere but we're not there and it's kinda making me feel sick.

"Scotty. Are you okay because we need to keep on moving" I say walking over to my brother wanting to make sure nothing's wrong.

"Where are we going and how do you know where to go to" Scott says looking at me exasperated trying to understand what's going on.
