After trying for a while and watching Bain demonstrate Neith is still having a hard time. "Alright so you want to hold the bow in front of you, ya just like that" say's Bain. "Like this," Neith asked, confused. "Yep, perfect," Bain said as he was holding his bow, trying to model it for her. "Now knock and arrow" he said, Neith looked at him in confusion, "Oh here let me show you" he said while dropping his bow. He grabbed an arrow and knocked it in place for Neith placing his hands on hers guiding her. They pulled back on the arrow "Just like that now, let go and shoot" he whispered in her ear sending shivers down Neiths spine and with that they let go. The arrow pierced through an inch of tree bark, "wow I really did it" she says her eyes full of shock and wonder. Still holding onto her hands Bain goes and hugs her from behind "ya you did" he says his eyes full of pride and hope. After a minute of staring at their work Bain takes the bow and drops it on the ground. He then spins Neith around and hugs her tight, placing his hands on her waist. Shocked, she freezes for a moment then puts her arms around his neck and hugs him back.
After a while it's dark and Bain pulls away and Neith all of a sudden feels cold without his touch, "it's getting dark" he says trying to hide the sadness in his voice. "That's alright we don't want our parents getting worried" she says not even hiding her sadness, "I can walk you home" Bain said with a smile. "That sounds great, can't have anyone getting lost now, can we?" she says laughing. Neith walks over to the blanket, folding it and putting it in the basket. Then she grabs the old oil lantern. She grabs a match and lights it. With the little oil left, it gets a taste of the hot and dangerous flame it ignites, lighting the path for them. Bain closes the basket and places it back in the hole then pushing the rock it looks like they were never there other than the arrows in the trees. As they got to the edge of their sanctuary it looked very different, the moonlight reflecting off the brook showing the calm trout inside, little frogs crooked and hopped happily taking the rabbits place as they slept and flying everywhere were bugs that shone as bright as fire, fireflies. Then the lantern went out.
