Exiles: Another Shade of Darkness

A woman looked around the large room filled with people, an evil grin formed on her face. She was walking through a fancy party filled with rich mobsters, gangsters, & other criminals making their wealth through crime.

She walked through a path of people, making her way to a staircase. She climbed the staircase slowly & many people started to point their gaze onto the black hooded figure. As attention on her gained, she formed a ball of fire in her hands & threw it into a clearing in the crowd.

"Ladies & gentleman", She yelled out. All eyes started to point at her. "Look to your left, then your right, & back at yourselves. You'll see nothing but criminals, feeding & praying on the innocent people of this city. Cripled by wealth, but tonight, you will all pay for your crimes".

A blaze of fire formed in each of her hands, she launched the hot burning blazes at the exits. Horrified screams escaped the mouths of everyone as they ran for the nearest exits, just to be blocked by the exits becoming engulfed into flames.

"There is nowhere to run", The woman said. She levitated into the air & scorched the roof, the walls, & structural support beams. "You can only fall".

"Pour choice of words", Someone yelled out from the crowd. Lara levitated into the air & blasted the girl with a ball of energy. The girl fell to the ground & Lara dropped to the ground beside her. "It's nice to see you again, Pyromancer".

Pyromancer didn't answer, she just smiled menacingly. Lara looked confused until she heard the cracking of wood. She looked above her & saw debris falling towards her.

Lara covered her head & prepared for impact, but the debris never hit her. She heard it smash into something & when she looked up, she saw a yellow dome surrounding her.

"You have to be more careful than that", Devon said as he took down the force field. "I got her if you want to help put out the fire".

Lara got up & joined Eli as they pried the fire from the structure of the building.

Chase spawned into the middle of the room & looked around him. Black spirals started forming in his hands, he pointed his hands outwards & blasted out black fog. As the black fog flowed over the fire, the fire died out.

Nevan opened a portal in the middle of the room & directed everybody out of the room but sent them all to the holding cells in a police station, they all were wanted criminals after all.

Devon trapped Pyromancer in a force field as he waited for everyone to evacuate the building.

"No", Pyromancer screamed as she banged on the force field. "They deserved to die, you saved the criminals".

"We stopped a murder", Nevan said as he walked up to the force field.

"There is no prison capable of holding me", Pyromancer said, she stared Nevan down with hatred in her eyes.

"We have a special place for people like you", Nevan said. He opened a portal as Devon brought down the force field. But before Pyromancer could attack, Lara encased her hands behind her back & then Lara walked Pyromancer through the portal.

"Come on guys", Chase said as he walked through the portal. "It's moving day".

Everyone walked through the portal into the other eastern Zone Labs, where the Kingsman lived. But the Exiles weren't staying there much longer. Zone Labs was rebuilt from the damage caused by the attack from Scream. And after the rebuilding, & the Exiles were eager to move back in.

And things started to settle down, Scream stopped attacking the city after the night Devon escaped. But as they stopped harassing the city, they also seemed to disappear from the face of the earth. Even Eli couldn't sense Gypsy's telepathic power anywhere. But even though Scream & his cartel seemed to vanish in the wind, Devon led an endless search for them, he was harboring a deep vendetta against them for kidnapping & torturing him.
