"Forget about me and I'll forget about you. We move on with our lives with people who we really love and who really love us. We'll never interact with each other, talk to each other, and most likely never see each other again... Goodbye Madison." I say and start walking away, finally feeling free.

Cory's POV

It's been a month since that day and honestly, I've been doing great. I took some time off of work to relax and focus on myself. My secretary is taking care of everything right now, but anything that I absolutely need to look at will be on my desk the morning I come back. As for basketball, we've won every single game we've played and the championships are only a couple more games away. My relationship with my family and friends are going strong. I also finally re–dyed my hair. I dyed my roots dark brown and let it fade into a rose gold.

I've also been training my brothers and the other mafia members in chi blocking since my father saw how useful of a skill it is to have. I don't train them too often because my family knows how busy I am with work and school. I train them three times a week whenever I'm free. They've improved a lot since day one, especially my brothers and even my father. My mother has also been training with me. Not only have I been teaching them chi blocking, but they've also taught me more about the mafia world so they can keep me in the loop without having me in any real danger. In addition to that, they've also been training me in other kinds of fighting as well.

More than that, Madi has left me alone. She doesn't bother me with texts, calls, or just randomly popping in my life like she usually did. The only thing that's wrong is Cameron. Even though our relationship has improved, she's been acting strange ever since me and Madi broke up. I've tried confronting her about it, but she keeps on brushing it off saying that she's fine. I don't want to push into her telling me something she doesn't want to, so I let it be.

As of right now, I'm looking through my closet on what to wear. I'm trying to put some effort into my outfit today since it's picture day. After sifting through my closet for about 20 minutes, I finally find what I'm gonna wear. I put on a rose gold corset top with puff sleeves, white dress pants, and a white knit sweater since it's a little chilly out. I pair it with some nude heels and move onto makeup. I don't do too much for makeup. I use a very light brown eyeshadow mixed with a light pink and some highlighter over it. I also put on eyeliner and mascara. For the finishing touch, I put on a nude matte lipstick and spray the setting spray. Once I'm done, I curl my hair loosely and brush out the curls to make them even looser. Lastly, I put on a diamond choker and only a few earrings before looking in the mirror.

I know, it looks extra for picture day, but the school is really fancy and my brothers have told me about how everyone dresses extra for the pictures

I know, it looks extra for picture day, but the school is really fancy and my brothers have told me about how everyone dresses extra for the pictures. I really didn't want to stick out like a sore thumb. Besides, it feels good to dress up every once in a while.
