"Thank you all for coming! Lindsey and I are delighted to say we are expecting a baby girl!,". The roar of applause and cheers was so overwhelming. I felt myself edge towards Bradley slightly, leaning my waist into his for support. He wrapped his hand around my waist, pressing his check to my head. The party livened up more now that they had something to celebrate! I rush back to Stephen who embraces me in a hug.
"Congrats, you must be so excited for this. A little girl who's going to be just like her mummy!,". His words warmed my heart. I couldn't believe that Xander was going to be a big brother.
"I know, I'm so happy! Bradley is too," I say, my face beaming with joy. I continue around the guests as they congratulate Bradley and I, it's times like these that make me truly appreciate how strong mine and Bradley's relationship now is. We have gone through pure hell, yet come out stronger than most. I feel Bradley's hand usher me to the balcony. I quickly follow him placing my drink to the side.He guides me to a quiet spot on the balcony near the hall. Their voices gaunt but audible. He leans down, pressing his elbows to the ledge letting his eyes wander to mine. I caress his back pressing my weight against him for support. I jump at a sharp pain to my stomach.
*GASP*
I jolt up causing Bradley to stand tall once again. I holds my hand to keep me steady.
"What's wrong" he says with a serious tone. I giggle lightly at his immediate concern.
"Don't worry, it's just her kicking. It only caught me off guard," I laugh lightly seeing Bradley's expression soften. I take his hand and press it to my stomach to let his feel our precious baby kicking. He smiles as he feels her kicking up a storm in my belly.
"She's feisty just like her mother," he says making me giggle once again.
"She doesn't settle that's for sure," we both laugh together. He continues to gaze at my stomach, feeling her every movement.
"What are we going to call her," he asks breaking the silence. I contemplated for a moment. We hadn't discussed names yet. It wasn't even in my train of thought.
"I'm not sure, I haven't given it much thought?," I say shrugging my shoulders. He stares at me for a moment.
"We probably should think of something for her," he says. We stood for a while thinking of what her name could be.———————————Few Minutes——————————
"What about Vienna?," he says breaking the silence between us. I looked at his confused.
"Vienna?," he nods.
"Yes, remember that spot you ran to when we were planning our wedding? That spot is called Vienna meaning Forest stream," I had no idea that spot had a name or meaning behind it? It was a special place because it was where I started accepting Bradley. I smile softly at his response.
"Then her middle name has to be Darcy, after my mother," I say thinking fondly of her.
"That settles it then Vienna Darcy Simpson," we both look into each other's eyes as the fireworks explode nearby. Nothing could ruin this, no chance! This was my family and my future and I couldn't be more happy.Well...long time no see am I right😂 2 years pffft that has gone by so quick!
