Another?!

"Could you be quiet for five minutes, Kise? Five minutes?!"

"But you like to talk a lot too, Kagami-kun."

"You don't hear me talking about complete and utter nonsense!"

"Awww, you're blushing, Kagamicchi~!"

"Am not! And what have I said about giving me weird nicknames!"

The night passed quickly, and we had been walking for awhile, continuing on into what felt like infinite jungle. Constantly ducking under branches or hopping over logs, and combined with Kise's persistent squealing and his abnormally high-pitched voice, my headache was only growing worse. And just when I thought that I was past my limit, Kise squealed, right next to me, and grabbed onto Kuroko's arm. In my chest I felt something tighten, though it was nothing I could explain.

Maybe it was jealousy?

I took a sudden right and took hold on a particularly thick tree and proceeded to hit my head on the rough bark. Multiple times. Mind successfully cleared I turned around to face the younger two. Kuroko's surprised expression was only shown through his barely raised eyebrows, but Kise was a little more obvious with his shock.

"You shouldn't do that to yourself, Kag-"

"Why would you do that Kagamicchi?!" the root of my problem shouted.

I closed my eyes and sighed heavily. Maybe I'll never get through this journey, because I will never be able to get used to this. But as I took a deep breath in, a scent caught my attention. This was certainly nothing new, for we had been passing by multiple territories, but it was strong. It smelled like some sort of wildcat, much like myself and Kise, and suddenly, it hit me.

Shit! We've been on someone else's territory this whole time!

As I looked around, eyes wild and ears on alert, I caught on to another, more feminine and flowery, scent. Great. There's two of them. Kuroko and Kise looked up and started to shift closer towards me, noticing my defensive stance.

The sound of rustling leaves in front of us startled me, so I put an arm in front of Kuroko as sort of a guard, and doing the same for Kise with my other arm.

A sudden movement and a dark blue blur was all saw as the figure leapt out in front of me. I flattened my ears back and bared my teeth, and I finally got a good look at his face.

He had short, navy blue hair and eyes that matched the color of his hair, set into what looked like a permanent glare. His skin was dark tan, but he was about as big as I was, if not, taller. He wore old, black shorts with two skinny white lines going down the side from his waist to the hem and a saggy, dark blue shirt. He was crouched in a threatening and defensive stance, much like how I was.

Kise and Kuroko had stepped away from behind me, probably preparing for a fight, but after a few moments, the guy just sighed and stood up from his crouched position, rubbing the back of his neck.

"You can come out now, Satsuki. It's just some kids and their babysitter..."

First of all, what is it with these animals jumping out of bushes?! Secondly, I felt slightly offended about that "babysitter" comment and was about to speak up before another cat showed up. Although, this one was quite strange. She was certainly some type of cat, however, she had pink ears and skinny tail. Her eyes were the same color as her feline appendages, but her hair was slightly lighter. She was wearing a light, mint-green tank-top and a short, black skirt.

She stepped out confidently from behind the same bushes that the navy-haired teen jumped out of and it was like her vision instantly zeroed in on Kuroko, who had come out to see who we had crossed paths with.
