Chapter 8

Zack continued to stand there like a statue while Danny was being held back by Sam and Tucker. Valerie on the other hand couldn't help herself anymore and started laughing.

"Did I do something wrong?" Zack asked confused by what had just happened which caused Valerie to stop as well as Danny.

"Are you really that dense?" Sam asked after she heard Zack's question.

"Dude, You just said this 'Even if you do not desire what you are currently, I will always stay by your side' while looking gentle yet epic at the same time!!" Tucker shouted while Zack looked towards Sam, Valerie, and Danny while seemingly asking whether he really said that to which the three nodded.

"!!!" Zack's face started to turn red then he went to a corner and sat there burrying his face to his thighs while mumbling stuff that doesn't seem to make sense.

Danny who saw the whole thing was just confused since in his mind Zack was planning to steal his daughter away from him but seeing this scene he couldn't help himself and feel doubts.

"Wasn't he planning to steal Ellie away from us?" Danny asked Sam to which Sam sighed.

"I think he really does hold feelings for Ellie but either he doesn't realize it or he identifies it as something along the lines of familial love but I think our little girl already knows her feelings" Sam answered while Tucker and Valerie nodded.

"Phantom, I thought that Dani is supposed to be your cousin but what is this about her being your and Sam's little girl?" Valerie asked and everybody would think that she would have started lashing out at Danny once she found out but surprisingly she wasn't.

"This... is... ummm..." Danny started to think of an excuse but before he could Tucker grabbed his shoulder quite forcefully to stop him.

"Danny, she deserves to know" Tucker said with a smile.

"Fine... Yes she is our daughter but she wasn't raised the normal way and you should already know that with the whole Vlad Plasmius thing" Danny said while Zack suddenly stood up and rushed towards where Ellie went which surprised the four of them.

"By chance, do you think he heard it?" Tucker asked quite nervous since it was his idea.

"One hundred percent" Valerie answered.

"But I don't think he would do anything about it" Valerie continued.

"I also highly doubt that he would do something negative about it, those eyes are like Danny's eyes when he is worried about someone" Sam added while Danny was once again speechless and was feeling left out.

Zack who went to the courtyard saw Dani seating under a tree curled up into a ball which made her look like a small animal, it was quite easy to find her thanks to the courtyard being empty for some weird reason.

"Dani!!" Zack shouted wanting to get her attention but when Dani heard him she stood up and ran away once again and this time jumped over the fence.

Zack who faintly saw Dani's red eyes and tear stains on her face and her shorts felt his heart get pricked by a thousand needles, needless to say he followed her which made Dani unable to go ghost.

"Dani wait up!!!" Zack was having a hard time of catching up with Dani which surprised him since she was always the one who runs out of breath as she chases him. Unknown to him thanks to many natural portals opening at Amity Park, the Fenton Ghost Portal which is pretty much always open, and the ghosts who attack/hang out at Amity Park the area became a Hotspot for ecto-energy which is extremely beneficial to ghosts.

'I did not see her only for some time but she grew up this fast!!' Zack thought but still chased after her.

Sadly their little chase was cut off by Skulker who appeared seemingly out of nowhere, Dani was caught off guard as her ghost sense only caught Skulker presence then. Everything happened so fast that Dani or Zack didn't have any time to react, Skulker caught Dani and held her by her neck, Zack who saw this became enraged.

"Skulker put Dani down!!!" Zack shouted once he saw Skulker doing so.

"Twerp?! What are you doing here?!" Skulker was quite surprised to see the human who helped him get some of his stress out when he fought with his girlfriend Amber. Zack gave him quite the deep impression since if he was made out of the same flesh and bones as Zack he would have a hundred percent chance to lose against him and even with his ghost abilities it was only a fifty percent chance if overshadowing was not allowed.

Dani who was struggling from Skulker's grasp was surprised and even felt Skulker loosen his grasp a little but she was too shocked by the development that was currently happening to fight back against Skulker.

"Skulker put Dani down now!! We had a deal!!!" Zack was still maintaining his cool since he and Skulker became buddies quite easily and he considers him as family. Skulker remembered and looked towards Dani then he pieced everything together.

"Sorry Twerp no can do since this midget is related to my prey so I can't free her but the least I can do is be gentle" Skulker said as he loosened his grip and held Dani under his arms while also not forgetting to tie down her feet and legs.

"Fine but bring me with you, I need to talk to her" Zack said with a stern voice which made Skulker smile like a father.

"Very well" Skulker said.

Zack took out something from his jacket and threw it at the ground, that something looked like a rectangular gadget and looked quite fragile which made Dani quite confused about this and expected for that gadget to be destroyed yet contrary to her expectations it started to hover and then grow in size.

Dani felt her whole reality and understanding of the world get flipped upside down since it had been established that matter can't be created nor destroyed yet Zack was able to do just that.

"Hmph! Now you see you how amazing he is" Skulker currently has a boasting father expression along with his tone which made Dani unconsciously giggle while Skulker also softened up to Dani slightly.

'If the Twerp and Midget really get together then I technically also capture Phantom so I can consider my hunt very successful' Skulker thought.

Zack arrived riding his hoverboard that has a propulsion mechanism at the back while faint energy can be felt from the propulsion system and under the board, Dani felt that the unknown energy was powerful yet slightly familiar at the same time.

"Follow me" Skulker said while Zack nodded as the three of them went through a natural portal.
