Chapter 2

At Olympus

Poseidon: "HELLO EVERYONE!" Poseidon yelled so that he could be heard above the other voices. "I have something important to tell you all." He said once everyone was quiet and was looking at him. "This is my daughter Aqua. She is both Roman and Greek." Everyone stared at Aqua and Poseidon with shock. This had never happened before. A baby born with both the Roman and Greek sides would be twice as powerful. Almost like a god. "It's too dangerous for her to live on the surface of Earth so she will live on Olympus. I don't care what you guys say about her, but you will not hurt her." Poseidon said fiercely. Just then aqua looked up at her father and reached for his nose. Poseidon leaned down and let baby Aqua touch his nose and chuckled while Aqua laughed a cute baby laugh.

Hades: "May I hold her brother?"

Poseidon: "You may but if you hurt her-!" Poseidon said while handing Hades Aqua.

Hades: "I won't." Hades grabbed aqua and muttered a blessing. "I give the blessing of the shadows so that you may always be able to hide in them and travel if needed." Hades then kissed the top of Aqua's head and was about to give her back to Poseidon.

Zeus: "May I as well?" Zeus said.

Poseidon: Poseidon smiled. "Of course, brother," Poseidon said as he handed Aqua to Zeus. "Be gentle brother."

Zeus: "I know how to hold a baby Poseidon." Zeus looked down at Aqua. She started to giggle and reach out to Zeus's beard. Zeus smiled at the baby. "I give the blessing of the storm. You may control and use any type of storm if the need arises." Zeus kissed baby Aqua's head to seal the blessing and handed her back to Poseidon.

Poseidon: "Well then, perhaps if she grows to be the wonderful girl, I imagine her to be then I will crown her as the sea princess and Percy as the sea prince."

Zeus: "Percy? Is that the other baby the Sally gave birth to?"

Poseidon: "That's right brother. Does anyone else want to hold or bless Aqua?"

Artemis: "I do." Poseidon handed Aqua to Artemis. "I bless you with the cover of the moon. Should the need arise, you will be able to find my hunters and they will help you."

Apollo: "I would also like to bless Aqua." Artemis passed Aqua to Apollo. "I bless you with the skills of music and archery."

Athena: "Pass me the child, Apollo." Apollo passed Aqua to Athena. "I bless you with an intelligent mind and the ability to be able to think and make wise choices under pressure."

Ares: "Me next." Athena passed Aqua to Ares. "I give you my blessing of the war. When in a battle you shall be able to keep your calm and fight with my skills." Ares passed Aqua to Aphrodite and Aphrodite to Hermes and so on. Soon everyone had blessed Aqua with their own special abilities. Poseidon took Aqua into his hands from Demeter.

Poseidon: "I shall take Aqua to her new room in my underwater palace where she shall sleep."

Zeus: "Bring Aqua back here tomorrow. I... I would like to get to know your child better brother."

Poseidon: Poseidon smiled and nodded. "I shall but for now, good night." Poseidon teleported back to his underwater palace and went into one of his several extra rooms. He chose the widest and tallest one with a castle roof in one corner. Its walls were lavender in the rectangle part of the room and aqua in the corner of the room with the castle-like roof. Aqua's playroom was at the bottom and there were stairs leading up to the top and a slide coming down into a water pool. On the second floor of the castle corner was Aqua's crib area with some night lights and lullaby's playing. On the third floor was the water slide's entrance. Poseidon went to the second floor and chose a perfect turquoise and lavender-colored bunk bed with a white crib with stars on it on the side of the bunk bed and silver bed sheets filling it on the inside. He laid Aqua down in the crib, pulling the silver bedsheets over her, and kissed her forehead. "Goodnight my little Aqua," he whispered. He switched off the lights, turned on the nightlight of the beach and turned on the lullaby, and teleported down to the first floor. He magically filled the room with lavender and teal items and decorations fit for a baby. The mattress in the crib was bouncy so that Aqua would be able to jump in it like a trampoline. There were also some sparkly stars and on the outside of the crib. At the bottom of the bunk bed was a mini water castle that Aqua would be able to play in soon. The best part was that the bunk bed was magically powered so that it would adjust to how tall Aqua was and what colors she likes along with what her favorite play toy would be. As Poseidon walked out of Aqua's room he clapped his hands once to close the lights and the curtains. "Sweet Dreams" He whispered into the darkness.
