A Gap in Time

Chapter 7

It was 9pm now, and Kyungsoo still didn't bother to peek out his head through the door.
"I'm sorry for reacting that way Hyung" Sehun half whispered.

"It's okay" Chanyeol replied in between munches, the food here won't get any better that's for sure.

"I mean i knew already, that there was something different with Do- but i was still surprised. i don't know why" he reached over the counter and handed Chanyeol a plate with food.

"Go talk to him. I know he needs both" he signaled to the dish.
Chanyeol sighed nervously and got off the chair.

"You know what hyung? i ship you both" Chanyeol stopped abruptly and slowly turned to look at Sehun
"How do you know what that is?"

"I work at the library remember? Well, i decided to inform myself on your times, apparently you teenagers had no life" he snorted "Now, it's canon. Go"

Chanyeol walked over to Kyungsoo's door hesitating on wether to knock the door or not. He decided on just going in without asking. Rude. Yes. But he couldn't risk having Kyungsoo say no and locking the door afterwards.
As his eyes adjusted to the darkness of the room he could see a small bump in the bed at the corner of the room.
-How cute-
He neared himself to the edge of the bed and laid the food down on the nightstand.
He then sat softly on the bed careful not to make a noisy mess.

"What do you want Sehun" Kyungsoo half sobbed. That broke a small piece in Chanyeol's heart.

"It's Chanyeol"
He heard a hitched breath coming from the small boy

"Why did you come in?" He still wouldn't remove the blanket off him.

"I-I wanted to see.. I you.. were okay"

Kyungsoo sniffed and stuck his head out of the blanket, just his eyes were visible. He looked like a lost puppy.

"Look, if it's something i did.. then i'm sorry Kyungsoo. Yes?" He leaned on the bed, getting closer to Kyungsoo, who stared at him blankly.

"It wasn't you Yeol- at least not exactly"

"Then what is it?"
Kyungsoo sat on the bed still wrapped in the soft sheets.
"It's just that, i always thought that i was going to stay alone. But then you popped in" he reached over and glided a finger along Chanyeol's jaw delicately, making him shiver. "but i'm somehow still scared. And i'm puzzled. Cause i know i shouldn't like you."

"But you do"

"Oh yes, i do" Kyungsoo stared at Chanyeol for some lengthy seconds, taking him in. "I do"
Chanyeol reached over and hugged Kyungsoo, careful not to squeeze too hard. It felt as if Kyungsoo was made to fit there with him, he felt so warm and soft, and he wished he could be with him forever.
"You're comfy" Kyungsoo whispered.
Chanyeol's laugh rumbled and shook Kyungsoo, making him snuggle into him as he smiled enjoying the moment.

Drifting off to sleep.
