A/N: Just a classic fluffy kiss scene to start us off?? I'll get more interesting stuff later, I promise.

It was a hot day in the early fall, and the boys were at the skate park until everyone had left. That's not to say it was too busy throughout the day, but Langa preferred it like this.

Maybe it was because it was he was antisocial and maybe it was because he enjoyed private time with his best friend who he'd been crushing on since the day he met him. Either way, the atmosphere of the situation was really nice.

Langa was currently taking another water break as Reki continued skating in loops between the halfpipe. The heat of Japan was getting to his foreign body. Canada would get hotter than expected, but never for as long as here in Okinawa.

Reki slowed down as he skated over to his friend. "Thirsty?" he asked. He kicked his board into his hand smoothly and then sat down next to the other.

Langa choked, "Huh!?!?" He could feel the warmth of blood spreading to his face. He hadn't even noticed that he was staring at Reki that much, but the redhead must have seen. It was just such a habit, Langa's eyes were drawn to the beauty.

"What? You're drinking so much water today."

Oh. Well, that's embarrassing, but it wouldn't be the first time Langa had overthought every word that came from Reki's lips.

"Well?" Reki prodded. Oh yeah, Langa didn't respond

Langa shrugged and took another sip from his water bottle. Unfortunately, he had just inhaled the last few drops of cool salvation. "Shit," he half-whispered.

Reki was understandably confused, "What's up?"

"Oh it's nothing, I just ran out of water."

"I think I have a bottle in my bag," Reki offered.

His friend smiled gratefully and accepted with a sigh, "That would be so great."

Reki gave him a flashy grin and finger guns before jogging over to where the boys had ditched their bag earlier this afternoon. Langa then realized something and got a bit upset.

His voice was stitched with concern when he called out, "Reki! Does this mean you've just been dehydrating yourself when you've had water this whole time?"

Reki chuckled. Guilty... Langa knew instantly. Not that he even was trying to hide it, but Langa could read him regardless.

"C'mon, I'm not drinking until you do now," Langa ruled. Reki frowned at him slightly.

He huffed, "You're not my dad," but he still took a big chug of water a moment later.

Langa laughed as he took the water from him, "If I were, you wouldn't get away with sneaking out every night."

"Bullshit!" Reki exclaimed, "You would be sneaking out with me."

Langa laughed but still thought it was funny to deny, "No."

Reki gave him a light shove on the shoulder and continued giggling with him. His smile was so big and happy. Langa could soak in the sound of Reki's laughter until the day he died and never get bored. He was so happy.

Reki did, unfortunately, calm down in a moment, but then he hummed, "it would be pretty weird if you were my dad."

Langa cocked his head to the side and questioned, "Why?" He agreed, but he wanted to know if their reasoning was the same.

"Are you seriously asking that?" Reki looked disturbed by the thought. Langa found it cute how his freckled nose got all scrunched up.

Langa poked, "Yeah, I think it would be fun."
