"Well, the golden house rule is really simple. 'Respect Privacy', that's number 1 and most important. You, what would you add?""Hmmm... Ah! Rule No.2: 'Always keep the house clean. Rule No.3: 'No unnecessary guests without the other's permission.' That's what I'll add, is that fine?"
"Of course mate, now what else... Ah, this is childish but I'll add this. Rule No.4: 'You shall share your foods and goods' and Rule No.5: 'Dinner in dorms together if we can'. Okay, Imma write it down."
Yeji laughed at the rule she just said but made no protests since it was quite sensible. She watched as Ryujin took out a small notebook and a pen from underneath the couch, before she started writing down the rules neatly.
"May I ask who your dormmate was before?"
"It's Chaeryeong-ie, my best pal. We planned to stay as dormmates but then found out that it would be shuffled so yeah, unfortunately fortunate."
She finally finished writing before she returned the notebook and pen under the couch, securing it on the secret zipper underneath the couch itself.
"Next step, self introduction. You start."
"Eh? Why me?"
"Why not? Come on, just do it..."
One glare from the other and Yeji was already preparing her introduction— grudgingly. She cleared her throat and contemplated whether she'll start with a greeting or not, but she chose the latter.
"I'm Hwang Yeji, senior highschool student at the age of 18. I'm dance major and I am also a school representative for academics and dancing. Uhmm... Do I add my favorites and stuffs? Yes? Oh, okay... Uhh I have 2 dogs at my house, Hongsam and Ilsam. (is that right?) I love dancing and singing, and also writing poems. I love to eat snacks, I like color blue and... I love music, and movies too. I guess that's it..."
"Hmm... Where do you live?"
"Uh, at Daegu. I grew up in Seoul tho...(I made this up)"
"Hmmm, can you describe yourself?"
"Eh?... I... I'm a shy person and I'm a good kid, I think? I also am kind according to some people."
"Do you have a boyfriend? Or girlfriend? — wait, do you swing both ways? Or one way?"
"Woah slow down, okay?... Err, I'm not yet in a relationship since birth. And... I do swing both... Okay that's it! Your turn!"
Ryujin laughed at her flustered dormmate, mentally taking note that she is also an awkward mess cutie pie. Ryujin found her cute, again. She wanted to keep her in a pocket so no one else can get her— possessive, she knows that.
"Okay, chill grandma... So, I'm Shin Ryujin, 17 and still a junior highschool student. I'm a sports major, but I take dance and music classes too. I love painting, playing instruments and music. I like black and dark things, that's obvious. I have two cats, Byulie and Dallie(hope this is right too). I love milk and candies— don't fucking laugh. I have 7 protective bros, 7 bros who taught me everything, 9 bros that understands me well and 5 bros that I do my messing around with—"
"... What?! How many was that?!"
"Shut up Hwang, let me finish. I live in Busan and grew up there but I have to transfer in Seoul with my 5 bros for some stuffs like this shitty school. Did I mentioned that I already have a driving license? Ha, don't try to ask, I just do have one. I'm mean to people I don't like, but I guess I'm nice to some people that are quite tolerable. Yep, that's it."
"Hold up, about those 'bros' of yours... Are they your real brothers? Like, blood-related?"
Ryujin can't help but to laugh at Yeji's confused expression, startling the taller girl. Yeji could just watch her tho, mentally saving the big smile on her face. That's rare.
"Pfft, nope. They're just the people who raised me and the people who gave me everything I need, and they are my brothers. How about you, got any siblings?"
"Sadly no, I'm an 'only child'. So, can you introduce this brothers of yours?"
Ryujin stared at her for a while before sighing, she can't introduce her bros yet. For now, at least. Her bros are quite known and she don't want to blow their cover, so nope. Even tho she already trust Yeji, she can't let her guard down.
"Nope. I can't do that, house rule number 1. Ah, I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight, Yeji..."
"Wait! I... I wanted to ask you if... If we could be friends? I mean, no boundaries between us, inside or outside this dorm... Can we?"
Ryujin was shock. She wanted to be friends with her? That was one of the rare moments for her, because people would most likely avoid her or just fight her. Either way, she can live with it. Yeji was the second person to ask her to be her friend, first was Chaeryeong when they were still so young and she was nothing but innocent that time. She stared at her for a while and did a mental argument on her mind. For her, Yeji was a good person so there was nothing but pureness on this friendship that she was offering. But, that is also the reason why she can't befriend her. She was too nice, and Ryujin was a definition of bad herself. She do a lot of bad things, she admits that. So why would she risk Yeji's life and reputation just to befriend her?
"Yeji... Would you really want to be friends with someone like me? A person with shitty reputation, bad attitude and has a lot of enemies? That's just weird, right? The Campus's representative and the Campus's Rebel being friends, what would people say? Of course, they'd say that you changed for the worse and will start hating on you too. So I'll ask you again Hwang Yeji, do you still want to be friends with me?"
