"So... Lily, whatever happened to that Ravenclaw you were talking to over the summer?" I questioned her innocently while sitting on the couch, hugging a pillow to my chest when we finally got to start our girls night.

"Oh... um we are friends now but I really want him to ask me to hogsmeade soon." Lily stated, blushing as red as her fiery hair. The girls giggled at her and started rounding in on her. "Tell us about him!" Alice stated excitedly.

"Oh, well um... His name is Greyson Andrews, he has brown hair and blue eyes. He really loves to read and draw. He drew this gorgeous picture of me while we were studying one time." This made Alice giggle at her love struck friend.

"He is really sweet and makes me feel really loved and special. He and I wrote letters to each other everyday over the summer and he wants to have a job in the ministry when we graduate." Lily stated, staring dreamily at the fireplace.

I snapped my fingers in front of her face. "Earth to Evans!" I called pulling her out of her daze. "Finally I thought you were going to go cross eyed staring off into space like that." I rolled my eyes as I said this, repositioning myself so that I was leaning against the left arm of the couch nearest the stairway to the dormitories.

"What about you, Astra. Find anyone special during your summer at James' House?" Marlene questioned with a smirk. "You know I didn't. And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you. You would tell the whole school." I said laughing at Marlene and throwing the pillow at her.

It smacked her straight in the chest and she just threw it right back. "Oh come on. There has to be someone you found at least a bit attractive back home?" Lily said. I thought about the one boy I met at the library a little bit away from James' house.

"She is thinking about it so there has to be someone!" Alice said, jumping up into the armchair next to the fire. "Spill" They all three demanded at the same time. "Oh... Fine! There was this one boy at the library near James' house." As I said this the girls squealed. I didn't talk about boys much so they were excited to say the least.

"Go on." Lily said, smiling at me as I blushed. "His name was Charlie Cameron. He had brown messy hair and the cutest freckles. He had the greenest eyes, they were like staring into a forest during the summer but they were also slightly brown so like a deep hazel color. His hair was slightly curly and fluffy. He was so sweet. We would often meet up at the library and trade books and recommend books for each other." I remembered something else.

"He used to write little notes that said something like 'I thought of you during this part' or 'I thought you might like this part' it was the most romantic thing ever!" I gushed. The girls were so happy for me but I knew what was coming next.

"So what are you going to do about it?" Lily asked me. I visually cringed. "Well... I told him that we just needed to stay friends because I was going to 'boarding school' but obviously I meant Hogwarts. I just couldn't tell him that." I said sadly.

"Knowing that he was a muggle, I couldn't tell him about Hogwarts and had to lie to him. The relationship would have started out based on lies and I couldn't do that to him." I explained to my girls. They looked at me sympathetically and crushed me in hugs.

"Why don't we go get ice cream from the kitchens. Like from the muggle movies!" Alice squealed. "It did work to cheer the girls up in the movies." Marlene said. "Ok. Sure, that sounds good." I said smiling at the girls. We went down to the kitchens and got individual tubs of ice cream thanking the house elves before going back to the common room and sitting on the couch.

"Hey girls, how is it going?" James said walking down the stairs with the other boys behind him. "It's good." I said, picking at my ice cream. "What's wrong?" Sirius said, sitting beside me. "What do you mean?" I questioned monotonously, still upset about mine and the girls' conversation from earlier.

"You only eat ice cream when you are upset and you have this, I don't know, crushed look on your face. You look miserable." Sirius said, taking my spoon and eating some of my ice cream. "Wow, thanks." I rolled my eyes. "Are you okay?" James asked me sitting on the other side of me on the couch.

"Oh yeah, I'm fine." I said a little too quickly but gave him a smile to try and cover it up. "Come get me if you need anything. Okay? Me and the boys are going down to the kitchens to get food and then we are going back to our dorm. We will see you girls in the morning." James said, setting his hand on my knee and staring into my eyes as I nodded and he got up and left.

I stared at the portrait hole where he just disappeared. I smiled slightly at James' kindness and understanding. He definitely gets it from his mother. "You like James!" Lily stated more than asked.

"What! No, that's ridiculous!" I defended, with wide eyes. "Yes you do! It is written all over your face. Don't even try to deny it!" Marlene jumped up and her and Alice tried imitating me and James.

"Oh Cy, I have been in love with you since first year, will you go to hogsmeade with me?" Marlene said in a deep voice. "Oh! I thought you would never ask!" Alice squealed in a high pitched voice. "I do not sound like that!" I yelled, throwing a pillow at both of them. We all erupted in a fit of laughter and Lily initiated a pillow fight. After the excitement died down, we all fell asleep on our separate couches.
