Chapter 2:I hope u don't mind the other carriages were full

Y/n Pov

It was quite a sight. There were students running around, searching for their best friends. There were parents waving goodbye to their children. We were at platform 9 ¾ to go to Hogwarts. I walked into the train with uncle Remus and sat beside him in an empty carriage.

He was tired as last night was a full moon and so I insisted he take a nap to gather his strength before reaching Hogwarts. He fell asleep within a few minutes of putting his head down. I rested my head on the door and eventually fell asleep as well.

I woke up to the sound of a girl's voice. I opened my eyes to see three students sitting on the seat opposite to me. I recognized the dark haired boy, he was the famous harry potter with the scar across his forehead.

The other boy, with orange hair must have been a Weasley, I had seen seen a picture of the Weasley couple on uncle Remus's desk. I didn't recognize the brunette , though she seemed to be quite smart, I could see her outwitting the guys easily.

The three turned to me as they realized I was awake. "I hope u don't mind, the other carriages were full" said the brunette smiling. "Oh I don't mind" I replied

"I'm Ron Weasley, " the orange haired boy said extending his hand. "I'm Y/N" I said shaking his hand. The girl introduced herself as Hermione afterwards and so did harry. "How are u new? You seem to be in the 3rd or 4th year, yet I don't think I have ever heard of anyone joining in the middle of their school years at Hogwarts...?" Hermione asked me with a puzzled face. 

"Oh, I was in Durmstrangs before this, I had received letters from Hogwarts since year one and decided to finally come here" I said" she seemed satisfied with my answer and didn't ask any more questions.

A few hours later the train stopped in the middle of it tracks and the lights went out. I could feel the air get colder and somehow darker. Chills ran up my spine as I looked out of the window, seeing nothing but darkness.

I heard a woman screaming and turned to the three of them. A Dementor entered the carriage attacking harry. Uncle Remus woke up almost immediately and cast a Patronus spell as I did too. The shield scared away the Dementor, leaving harry unconscious.

He woke up a few minutes later, and Uncle Remus handed him a bar of chocolate. He left the carriage saying he wanted to talk to the driver. I glanced at harry as Uncle Remus left. He looked pretty shook up as Hermione and Ron were trying to explain what had happened. 

He mentioned hearing a woman screaming and the others said that they didn't hear it. I wanted to tell them I did too, but I stayed out of it as I wasn't new to hearing things that no one else did.
