Chapter 8: DADA

Y/n pov

I was talking to uncle Remus before my first DADA class as I arrived 15 minutes early after a dreadful double potions. "How are you princess? Has your nightmares come down?" Uncle Remus asked.

"I'm great Uncle Remy, don't worry, and my nightmares haven't changed, I wake up in the middle of the night gasping for breath, but it's nothing new" I replied. "Sirius black has been spotted near Dufftown" He said turning to the newspaper sitting on his table.

" I know I found out earlier, Do you think he is coming for me and Harry?" I asked looking at him. "I won't let anything happen to you princess, and I wont let anything happen to Harry either, I promise you" He said turning back to me.

"I don't want you going searching for him, he is a murderer and a man who betrayed his best friend, stay away from him at all costs" He said sternly. " I don't believe it Uncle Remus, he's a good guy, and everyone telling me otherwise isn't right" I argued.

 "You have always looked into the good side of people, and it isn't always good thing princess, just stay away from him" He said looking at me straight in the eye.

"Can we just forget about it? I'm not going to stay away from him, I know how to protect myself and I know advanced spells and the unforgivable curses, you taught me yourself. I know not to use them but I will use them if necessary. So stop worrying about me and lets just talk about something else" I retaliated. Uncle Remus sighed and changed the subject. We talked until people started to turn up.

I stood in the corner of the classroom smiling at people as they entered. Pansy ran up to me and pulled me with her to stand with her. "I know that I shouldn't be fussing over Draco, but you know I want to keep in good terms with the Malfoys" She reasoned.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry" she said looking at me hoping I would forgive her. "You don't need to apologize to me P, it just annoyed me when u fussed over him as if he had died or something, but its fine lets just forget about it" I said smiling. She smiled and started talking to me about how terrible potions was.

After everyone had come and settled down uncle Remus revealed what we were going to do today, learn how to defend ourselves from a Boggart. Me and Mione took turns in answering uncle Remus's questions.

We stood in a line to see what we feared most.Neville went first and uncle Remus asked what he feared most and he said professor Snape. He conquered his Bogart and the next person came along; Ron and his spiders and Parvati Patel with her snakes. Eventually it was my turn. Everyone looked curiously to see what my fear was. The Bogart slowly changed into what I dreaded the most.

There he was, my dad, being dragged away from me as my 1-year-old self-wailed. Tears ran down my cheeks as I grabbed my wand and said the first spell that came to my mind. "Confringo" I yelled. The closet burst into pieces but the Bogart didn't change.

Everyone turned to me in shock. I started sobbing harder and screamed "RIDIKULUS" The Bogart didn't change. I ran out of the classroom with big fat tears rolling down my eyes.
