what would happen if humans were to develop superpowers? would there be discrimination against them and terrorism led by a holocaust survivor with basically zero regards for the views of regular humans which then leads to an empowered group taking him on along with his followers? not really, in this context, it is the opposite. in the world, people began to manifest strange superhuman mutants which are called quirks, as any being with common sense would do those with more powerful abilities would try to take advantage of these powers to commit crimes since it is quite reasonable to fall corrupt from your own power due to ego and greed. thus governments decided to form organizations that employed trained superheroes known as the hero associations, it's a battle of yin and yang between the two sides. regrettably, all of these things cause people born without powers to face discrimination and prejudice blah blah blah blah you get it, if you wanted me to continue going on about these gloomy politics I'd just get some wannabe SJW bitch to rant about their bullshit.

ah much better, I should probably kill the $#^^@ who did this, but I'm fucking lazy so imma just go back to the story serious.
narrator POV:
today is the day that a certain green-haired boy was about to discover if he was of the lucky people to have been born with a powerful quirk or if he was not so lucky in this regard.
"ok Mrs Midoriya here are the results, your son is indeed a quirked human, however, I am sorry to say that it is possible he won't be fit for hero work." said a doctor in googles called Dr Tsubasa, the woman he addressed is called Inko Midoriya, mother of Izuku Midoriya.
"huh? what exactly do you mean doctor? is there a defect in his body? is there a serious drawback to the quirk? can his body not handle it? did he inherit a weak quirk?" said Inko Midoriya with a worried expression on her face, she was afraid that her son either inherited the fire breath quirk of her husband Hisashi Midoriya and that his body was not suited for it or that he simply inherited her object attraction quirk. beside her sat Izuku silently on the verge of tears since he deeply desired to become a hero.
"not really, basically his quirk allows him to 'eat' combustion-based reactions like explosions, fire, etc. he does this by drawing in the fire into his mouth using your quirk factor and neutralizing it with his father's quirk factor which nullifies the flames-" said Dr Tsubasa before being interrupted.
"wait then he would be more than capable of being a top hero! he would gain an advantage for rescue situations thanks to this additional ability to stop fires and explosions along with the ability to breathe fire, oh thank goodness I was worried over nothing" said Inko with relief as she looked at her son reassuringly. Izuku was relieved as well and quickly wiped his tears as a new found excitement filled him.
"sadly that is the problem, he cannot use the fire breath ability and can merely use his fire eating power" said Dr tsubasa. Inko and Izuku slowly turned and looked at him in shock.
"well..... isn't there still a chance for him to become a hero?" said Inko with some hope as she looked over with a worried expression. Izuku was sitting with his head down as he began questioning himself.
"I can't really say, from my years of experience in quirks i must admit that the world is full of dangerous villains and hazardous situations that would be a threat for quirkless people which is very similar in the case of your son since aside from that ability he is on the same level as a quirkless person. he could become a rescue hero, but in consideration of this risk it is not suggested" said Dr Tsubasa in a tone of regret. he looked over at Izuku who was completely silent until now.
"does this mean I can still be a hero?" said Izuku in a weak voice, a few tears dripping down his face as he raised his head to meet the doctor in the eyes.
"I'm not saying that you can't be a hero Izuku, its just that your quirk doesn't really give you as much of an advantage as most heroes would gain from their quirks, take eraserhead for example, he is basically like a quirkless hero yet because of his ability to shut down quirks he can even the playing field and has a much better chance against villains. i know this sounds harsh, but in all honest we can't help but worry for the safety of you kids, heck my grandson has a quirk that grants him wings which is considerably useful and a decent quirk, but at the end of the day he is still at risk if he tries to become a hero just like you. at the end of the day, its you who decides if you want to take the risk and become a hero" said Dr Tsubasa in a reassuring tone. Izuku gave a weak smile as he jumped off his seat and gave the doctor a hug. initially surprised by this, Tsubasa returned the hug before Izuku left with his mother.
