Later that night Negan told me we were going on a small trip. We arrived at Alexandria and Negan got out of the truck and I followed him. This time Negan let me have a gun but I was to only ever use it in case of an emergency, such as last time, it was a small Ruger SP101. Negan let me have a little black holster that the gun sat perfectly in and according to him, it looked very sexy on me and I had to admit, it did. Negan wrapped his arm around my waist and walked over to the big metal gate clanging on it a few times with Lucille, as he did the first time we came here. Negan then walked over to one of his men that was holding a microphone, he handed Lucille over to me and grabbed the microphone from it waiting for his men to turn it on. There was some feedback but Negan didn't care as he started to speak right away. "You may be wondering why the hell your lookouts didn't sound the alarm." Negan let go of my hip and walked back and forth in front of the gate. "See, we are polite. I mean, I don't know when they're gonna wake up from that kinda shot, but they should wake up. So let's just cut through the cow shit -- you lose. It's over. So you're gonna line up in front of your little houses, and you're gonna work up some apologies, and then the person with the lamest one is gonna get killed. Then I kill Rick in front of everybody, and we move on. You have three -- count 'em, three minutes to open this gate, or we start bombing the shit out of you!" Negan said angrily and then he started to whistle into the microphone as she waited. After waiting for a whole minute, which felt like forever, Negan talked once again. "Two minutes, people! Dig deep. I want these apologies to be memorable. Bonus points for creativity. Work up a poem, sing a song. I love that shit." Negan chuckles to himself and then begins whistling once more. To be honest, I really don't care about anyone here. They never cared about me nor my mom when we first met them. And when she died after we left the prison, no one bothers to help me bury her. After being with Negan I began to see this is where I belong. With him. He has made me stronger than I ever was, and he loved me, that was what I needed to be strong. And sure Carol took care of me like a mother would a daughter, and Carl was my first kiss, Daryl taught me to properly shoot a gun, Rick was a father figure to me, and Maggie was the sister I never had. But in the end, none of them loved me. None of them cared. Negan showed me that, he proved to me that they never cared. Negan was there to show to them that he was strong and there is an order to everything and Negan was that order. "One minute! One minute!" Negan yelled, bringing me out of my thoughts. I looked over at the gate seeing there was no movement. No one was coming. Hm, oh well. They did it to themself. I watched as Negan raised his hand in the air as a signal for everyone to cock their guns. Everyone raised their arms in the air with their weapons as they cocked them ready to go. "Okey Dokey. Brought this on yourself, Rick. See, I was willing to work with you. All you had to do was follow a few very simple rules. Now -- Well, now I see that you got to go. Scorched earth, you dick!" Negan yelled as he walked into the middle of all his men.

"He's not home." Carl appeared on the platform next to the gate. I looked over at him and felt my heart jump a little and then suddenly relax. All of Negan's men aimed their guna all right at Carl.

"Oh-ho-holy shit!" Negan said while raising his arm. "Everybody hold your fire. It's Carl. Look at you. Answering the door like a big boy. I am so proud. Daddy's not home, huh? Well, I guess he's gonna get back to a big old smoky surprise." Negan said, smirking.

"There's families in here. Kids. My little sister." Carl said while looking down at Negan.

"Well, that shit just breaks my heart. There's kids at the Sanctuary. You must've seen 'em. Even had a little baby at one of the outposts. I wonder what happened to her." Negan said into the microphone and slowly lowered it. "None of this shit's fair, kid. Hell, you know that. You had to kill your own mom. That is screwed up. Ergo, we need someone in charge who's willing to do whatever it takes to make sure that shit doesn't happen. Oh. Wait." Negan paused, walking backward still looking at Carl. "That's me." He opened his arms as he was proud and that it was obvious.
