The last day of their class trip was upon the students. They're all given the day to shop and look around the city.

"Hey, Shun, Nendou! Do you wanna walk around with me? I wanna buy some souvenirs and maybe we could go get some food?" Y/n says, hoisting their bag on their shoulder.

"Uh, sure! Have you seen Saiki? He might wanna join us." Kaidou looks around the lobby of the hotel. Y/n pulls their phone out to check the time.

"No idea to be honest, but I doubt he'll care if we just go on without him. C'mon." Y/n says walking to the exit of the hotel. The boys follow behind them quickly. The three of them stop outside a small shop with various little knick-knacks. They step in and look around. Y/n went straight to the keychains and pins.

"Guys! These are so cute! Come look!" Y/n calls their friends over.

"Oh, they have matching ones! We should get some!" Kaidou browses the various keychains.

"Talk about cheesy, Shun." Y/n teases, though they make no move to step away from the display. "Nendou, come look!" Y/n realizes that their other companion still hasn't returned. He walks up beside him with some weird glasses on. "What are you wearing?" Y/n asks him. He hands the glasses to them. They laugh after examining them. "Come here, look at these." Y/n shows him the display.

"What, these little things? I don't wanna spend money on these." Nendou laments.

"Yeah, they are kinda pricey..." Kaidou adds.

"I'll pay for them. We're getting some for the girls too. Don't worry about it." Y/n picks out some keychains they think their friends would like. After making sure they had one for each of their friends, the three teenagers checked out their items and left. They continue their day, occasionally meeting up with the girls but quickly being separated.

"Hey, we wanted to meet up with the girls at this small restaurant for some dessert, we should start heading over soon." Kaidou points in the direction of the restaurant.

"We're gonna try this special anmitsu, it's supposed to taste like coffee and it's really good." Nendou chimes in.

"Uhm, sure! Lead the way!" Y/n gives them a smile. The three make their way to the restaurant, meeting the girls on the way. They all step into the restaurant and are seated soon after. The waiter takes their orders, Y/n only ordering a milkshake.

Y/n looks out the window, watching all the people walking when a certain pink-haired boy catches their eye. They start to panic as they get up from the table, making sure that the group doesn't notice.

"Hey, would it be too much trouble to get the milkshake to go?" Y/n asks quickly. The waiter hands them the drink and they pay as quickly as they can. They dart out of the restaurant, texting Kaidou as they leave, guilt clouding their mind as they lie to him.

...gotta get... here...! Saiki partially hears familiar frantic thoughts. He looks to see the teen speedwalking away, narrowly avoiding spilling their drink and crashing into others. He chooses against following after them, walking into the restaurant, the feeling of regret soon doubled by the sight of the nuisances that call themselves his friends.

Saiki sits at the table, watching as the girls giggle and pass around jingling keys.

"Look, isn't it so cute?" Mera says in awe as she shakes the keys. "Can I see your guys' keychain too?" She says, reaching over for Kaidou and Nendou. They hand their keys over and the girls all compare the keychains.

"Oh! Saiki, you're here! Come sit, there are some empty seats over here." Teruhashi says waving the pink-haired boy over. "Aren't these so cute? Y/n picked them out for us!" She says, dangling the keys to show off the cute accessories.

I don't think they bought one for him. Kaidou thinks, not recalling Y/n picking one out for him. Saiki decided to just agree with Teruhashi, not caring too much for discussing it.

"Teruhashi, switch seats with me?" Y/n asks as the students get ready to board the plane home. "I just... don't wanna sit by the window seat this time." Y/n lies. The random notebook that Y/n had picked up from a stand weighed heavily in their hand, the guilt of lying to their friends who have been nothing but kind to them eating at them.

"You could switch with Kaidou," Yumehara suggests innocently.

"Well- you see, the thing is-" Y/n sputters over their words before Teruhashi quickly buts in.

"No! ...I mean, Kaidou shouldn't be forced to move, he might get sick again, so it's ok! I'll switch with you, Y/n." Teruhashi quickly explains, taking the chance to sit beside Saiki.

"Wonderful, thanks, Teruhashi!" Y/n exclaims. The students all take their seats, Saiki already feeling the headache before he even sees where Teruhashi is seated. He subconsciously looks around the plane for the h/c-haired teen, his gaze landing on them laughing happily, seemingly unbothered by the incessant noise around them.

"Hey, pass this to Y/n? I borrowed it earlier." Kaidou suddenly speaks up, a half-hour into the flight. Mera takes the item but hesitates before handing it to them.

"Y/n's kinda sleeping right now, and Yumehara is too. She has her head on their shoulder." She giggles at the blue-haired boy. Teruhashi also starts laughing.

"Wait they're so cute!" Teruhashi comments. Kaidou blushes at their insinuations, they're dating?! He wonders. Though Saiki knows that they aren't dating, even the thought of Y/n liking someone else romantically gets him so unreasonably irritated. "So romantic." Teruhashi coos. Saiki feels his eye start to twitch, though he convinces himself it's just stress.

Y/n wakes up before Yumehara does, their gaze shifts to the sleeping girl beside them. A fond warmth fills their eyes. Y/n takes a deep breath, leaning their head against the plane seat, taking in the rare silence that blankets the usually rowdy class. Barely acknowledging the whispers and occasional giggles that float through the atmosphere. The majority of the class was exhausted from the trip, rendering them all asleep for the trip back. Y/n shifts slightly to look to the aisle of seats beside them, noting that the seat of the pink psychic was empty.

Psychic, huh?

With that the school trip ends, Y/n and Saiki left with more emotions and thoughts swirling through their heads than they'd ever had before.
