Y/n skillfully avoids interacting with Saiki, almost completely naturally looking to their friends. They don't seem to make a connection with Saiki's nasty attitude and Y/n's almost too chirpy acts, and if they do they don't mention it. The class finally arrive at Emerald Beach, brimming with excitement. They all split into their respective change rooms. Y/n removes their top and their eyes linger on the newly formed scar on their torso, brushing a tentative hand over the partially lifted skin. They're shaken out of their thoughts by a loud commotion outside of the change rooms. They slip into their swim clothes and sneak past the growing crowd of people, circling the small building. Y/n spots a small huddle hiding behind the building.

"Yumehara, what are you doing back here? Something the matter?" Y/n approaches the huddled girl, crouching in front of her slowly.

"I can't go out there after Teruhashi, her body is perfect!" Yumehara mumbles.

"Can you stand up, please?" Y/n puts out being hands for Yumehara to grab. As soon as their hands are connected, Y/n hauls the girl to a stand, Yumehara letting out a surprised laugh. Y/n looks their friend up and down. "Now I can have a good look at you!" Y/n grips Yumehara's hands a little tighter, pulling away from her slightly. "In my honest and expert opinion, you, my love, look so fucking good. Like so good, it's driving me insane." Y/n speaks animatedly, letting go of Yumehara's hand to gesture wildly.

"Do you really think so?" Yumehara- asks with a blush present on her face. 

"Yes, I absolutely do! You're so fine, that really is your colour, and the suit! It literally fits perfectly on you." Y/n takes her hand in theirs. "Gimme a spin, yea?" Y/n raises their intertwined above Yumehara's head, making her spin, giggles and laughs escape the both of them. "Shall we go get something to eat?" Y/n asks with a fancy accent, holding their arm out for Yumehara to link with them.

"We shall." Yumehara can't help but take them up on the offer, completely forgetting why she had been upset before. Just as they link their arms, Kaidou, Mera, and Nendou approach them giddily. "Oh! We were just about to go get something to eat! Are you guys wanting to join us?" Yumehara asks her friends. Y/n smiles happily and nods in agreement.

"Oh, yea! We were just talking about that! Saiki mentioned something about someplace with really good deserts!" Mera exclaims. Yumehara and Y/n look at each other in confusion.

"Did he go on ahead or something? He's not with you guys." Yumehara informs them. The other three look around them frantically, calling for their missing pink-haired friend.

"He was literally right here, like 10 seconds ago! Just before we saw you guys!" Kaidou explains. Just as Y/n is about to comment, Kaidou interrupts. "And Nendou's gone too now!?" He shrieks.

"Hey, it's okay! Nendou probably just went looking for Saiki!" Yumehara reassures. The group continues walking along the sands, discussing Saiki's and Nendou's absence. They're cut off by a distant scream. Kaidou runs off ahead of the group, leaving the girls and Y/n behind. They rush to catch him, hearing him confront whatever the problem was. 2 grown men harassing Teruhashi. They barely hear Kaidou's trembling voice, when Yumehara decides to cut in.

"Leave her alone, she doesn't wanna go with you!" Yumehara steps in front of the blue-haired girl. Y/n whispers to Mera to get a teacher before things escalate.

"No one was talking to you! We don't talk to ugly chicks!" One of the men comments.

"You probably don't even care about her, you're just jealous that she gets hit on." The other one adds on. Yumehara looks at them, hurt. Y/n feels the irritation build up in the pit of their stomach, everything that happened in the last 24 hours getting to be much. Kaidou not taking too kindly to the insults being hurled towards Yumehara either; starts yelling at the men but quickly backs down when they threaten him with a beating. Y/n looking to stall for time for Mera to come back starts talking before they can think it through.

"You guys are like what? 30? 40 maybe? Are you not embarrassed for arguing and harassing 16-year-old high school students? Shouldn't you be working a job? Doing taxes? Why are wasting not only yours but our time here at the beach?" Y/n digs into the creeps.

"Hey! Who the fuck do you think you're talking to?" He stares down at the annoyed teen, stepping closer to them, though Y/n wills themself not to flinch. Mera! Y/n tries to look for her.

"Apparently grown-ass men who like talking to minors. Why don't you get the hell out of here? Find something better to do with yourselves, therapy maybe." Y/n tries to lead their friends away from the creepy men. They keep shouting and yelling profanities. One of them reaches and tries to put their hand on Y/n's shoulder. Though Kaidou, surprisingly punches him, sending him reeling back. Y/n lets out an impressed laugh, smiling at Kaidou proudly.

"Don't touch them! And apologize to Yumehara too while you're at it!" Kaidou yells at them. The men soon realize that the punch didn't actually hurt and start berating the teens again before they start backing away as they exclaim about the pain they feel. Y/n laughs as the men run away in pain. They turn around to make sure their friends are okay when they see Yumehara gawking at Kaidou with a blush on her cheeks.

They'd make a cute couple. Y/n smiles to themself.

"Alright, come on. I'll buy you guys something sweet!" Y/n walks their friends over to an ice cream vendor. Saiki watches the group walk off, but he focuses on the one leading the group. Their laugh carries over the wind, ignoring the pang of pain in his heart, he heads back into the water, opting to ignore the urge to apologize for his actions.

Just putting this here,,, what other characters should I write for ? Not limited to TDLOSK (or anime in general), but I have an idea ive been dying to write (possibly GN! AMAB! reader?) but i cant think of what character to write it for, so let me know if you have any character you'd like to see !
