Y/n had a feeling that Saiki wanted to ask them something really important. Something about his mood that morning was off. They didn't press him about it though because if he really wanted to ask them something he would. So Y/n went about their day, albeit confused as to what was making Saiki remain quieter than usual. As the day came to an end, Saiki tugged on the teen's wrist before they could even leave the classroom.

"We have to go to Toritsuka's house today." He said, looking straight into their eyes.

"We? Why do I have to?" Y/n said tearing their gaze from Saiki's, feeling their heart race.

"Because I said so." He said, with no other explanation.

"How do you know I don't have anything to do today?" Y/n asks him. He didn't know that, he just assumed that they had no plans.

"..." He didn't say anything to them. Their face broke out into a smile and then laughter.

"I'm only joking, Kusuo. You got so serious there." Y/n laughs at him. Saiki's posture visibly relaxes. He rolls his eyes at them, jokingly. They both walk to the lockers and see Toritsuka there trying to talk to some really disinterested girl. Y/n walks up to them and grabs Toritsuka by the back of his collar. "Sorry about him!" Y/n calls to the girl as they walk away.

"Hey! What's your deal- I mean, hey there, Y/n- and Saiki!" He quickly corrects himself as he sees two powerful beings glare at him. Y/n looked at him weirdly and looked behind them to see Saiki glaring at the purple-haired boy.

"Keep making that face and you'll get wrinkles." Y/n says, pinching his cheeks. He pulls their hands from his face. "Let's get going, boys!" They say walking out of the school, with their friends following close behind.

They arrive at Toritsuka's place and they enter his room. Y/n looks around and much to their displeasure they see all his 'belongings'. Y/n makes no effort to hide their discomfort.

"You are a gross human being." They mumble to him. He lets out a sound of protest. "So, like, why am I here?" Y/n ignores him.

"Okay, well you, um, you see, I, we uh-" He struggles with his words.

"Spit it out, Toritsuka." Y/n says sitting on the ground. Saiki places himself beside them.

"Get the book," Saiki says in a monotonous tone. He ignores Y/n's questioning gaze.

"Hmmmmmm, this is kinda sus." They says mostly to themself.

"Oh yeah, here." Toritsuka flips the book open to a page familiar to Saiki. He turns the book toward the girl in question. " Do you by any chance recognize her?" Y/n scans the picture before them, carefully.

"What the fuck, yeah. She's been in almost all of my dreams." She says in a quiet voice. Saiki and Toritsuka catch each others' gaze. "Is she of any importance?" Y/n asks Toritsuka.

"You could say that." Toritsuka knew he was treading on thin ice at this point. "Um, have you ever spoken to them before?" He asked. Neither Y/n nor Saiki had ever seen Toritsuka this serious before, it was a little nerve-wracking.

"Not in my dreams, no. There was one time I heard someone talking to me, a couple of days ago, they responded like three times, but they just stopped talking after I asked them to show themself. I don't know if that was her. But I could also just going a little crazy." Y/n relays the story to the boys.

"So this might get me hurt, but I feel like you should know this. The woman in this book is your guardian spirit." Toritsuka explains to them. Y/n gives him a look of disbelief the entire time.

"But, my parents aren't magic users... not that I know of anyway." They mumble the last part.

"They probably aren't, but what if you are?" Saiki finally speaks up.

"You probably don't have any magic though, you would've developed them at birth," Toritsuka says, attempting to sound reassuring.

"Hm that's good, I kinda don't want to have magic or anything, it'd be too much for me." Y/n looks at the pink-haired boy. He shrugs at them. "This... is a lot of info to take in," Y/n says with a sigh. "Are we done? I kinda wanna go home and sleep." They say, tiredly.

"Yeah, we're done, I'll see you guys at school." Toritsuka smiles. The (Hair colour)-haired teen and pink-haired boy leave the temple and start making their way home.

"This is kinda weird, isn't it?" Y/n looks at Saiki with a worried smile. "Like, jeez, outta nowhere I'm told I have magic maybe, and that I have a crazy powerful guardian spirit? I wouldn't be surprised if this was all a dream." They examines their hands. Y/n turns their head to the psychic walking beside them.

"It's not that weird." He reassures them.

"You're a lot calmer about it than I thought you would be." Y/n looks at him. "Let's keep this on the down-low, yeah?" They look at the boy in question.

"Don't worry about it, alright? I'm here if... you need help." He takes their hand and gives it a squeeze.

"You're... a really good friend, Kusuo. I'm so happy I met you." Y/n returns the gesture.

I probably wrote about this too much, I'm not sure if it'll be that important to the story I have planned so far, but if it is, I hope you like it :) If not, then it is what it is. If you guys like this than leave a vote, it really means a lot to me, thanks for reading :D I also have started posting these chapters on Tumblr, under the same name, so if you see them there don't worry its just me :) drop a follow, I might do requests over there.
