Him.
He walks around town without a care in the world. He does what he wants, when he wants to. He's always in trouble, yet he never seems to care. He's always skipping school and when he does decide to show up, it's already halfway through the day. It completely baffles my mind how someone can live their everyday life with such a care-free mentality. But what baffles me even more is why I was so intrigued by him.
His name was Michael Clifford and boy was he your totally generic, modern day bad boy. I guess you can say most people chose to steer clear of him and his destructive lifestyle but for me, there was something about him that I just had to have.
-- 6:57 a.m. --
"I can't believe it's already May. We're going to be lounging out by the pool within the next two months."Monday morning, not even 7 a.m yet and McKenna was already talking my ear off. Her normal 3 cups of coffee before school thing was beginning to stress me out.
"Savannah snap out of it dude, I'm talking to you!"
I was far too interested in Michael pulling in his parking spot with his blacked out motorcycle to listen to McKenna.
"Sav, if you're going to completely drool over him every day, you might as well go talk to him." McKenna said.
"There's just something about him that I can never seem to get off my mind. It really makes no sense at all considering I don't even know him."
Why couldn't I stop thinking about this kid? I've never even had a full conversation with him let alone say 2 words to him. I was beginning to feel creepy about this entire situation and I really hoped Michael didn't pick up on it.
The bell rang loudly, snapping me out of my daze and painfully brought me back to reality. Me and Kenna proceeded into the school building to begin another strenuous day of high school.
You know, I was really getting tired of this whole routine. High school was nearly ending and I had caught a major case if senioritis. I had no motivation to get out of bed and drag myself to school each morning.
I needed a vacation.
First period calculus was painfully horrible to sit through every morning but considering I sat next to Kenna, the period went by a little quicker.
Today's topic: Michael.
"Do you think he would ever even be interested in me? I mean look at us, we're totally opposites." I leaned over and whispered to Kenna.
"Your little obsession with him is starting to give me a serious headache on top of the one this lesson is giving me."
I can tell Kenna got annoyed at my constant need to talk about Michael. I just needed some more insight on this. Was I absolutely insane for even thinking about him? Or should I just take a chance and talk to him?
"I'm sorry. I'm just really worked up about all this. He's been on my mind since the minute I saw him in the beginning of the school year."
"If you're that invested in this kid, go freaking talk to him! I mean seriously Sav, look at you! You're stunning and you're a great person. There shouldn't be anything holding you back." Kenna assured me.
"Yeah, you're right. Maybe I just need to take a chance."
