"It was strange... I didn't know that I'd be in love with a demon. Hell, I didn't even know demons could love... But now, I'm scared. He's going to find me. I've been scribbling in here just in case I'm dead. Someone will find this, and serve justice! I must go now..."

I closed my journal. I've been doing this for weeks now. I'm always on the run. He was always there, but he never showed himself. He was a shadow. A shadow that got bigger the longer I ran. I have been hiding from him. I love him so much, but I don't know why or when this started.

This was a game of cat-and-mouse. I'd see him in my dreams, in the shadows, in my arms... I loved that damned demon, but his actions confused me.

I kept on telling myself, "I love him. He's just playing with me, so I can love him more." That's what I thought. That's what I was sure of. But, not anymore.

My breaths grew more ragged. Fatigue settled in my legs and my head. I was beginning to become light-headed because of the lack of rest I was given.

"Please, Sebastian. Give me a rest." I whispered to myself. Tears began to fall from my eyes. I hiccuped and finally slumped down to the ground, resting against a tree.

I had done nothing wrong. I never cheated on him. I never slept with anyone except him. I visited regularly. I was a perfect girlfriend.

I sat there for hours, glad for the rest, but scared for what might come next. Sebastian was always full of mysteries. That's why I loved him. He was strange, yet elegant. A tall, dark, handsome man with his own flaws that I could love.

Strangely, his young master hasn't said anything of our relationship. He dismissed it lightly, not caring for what his demon butler's love life was like. I'm sure he doesn't even know that I've been hiding and running. He is always caught up in his own works.

I closed my eyes. I wanted to remember the happy moments we had together. The time where we baked cake for Ciel. The other time where we had to watch the young master and his fiancee.

I smiled. I felt warm inside. Like the color of the sunshine blanketed over me. Ironic, isn't it? To feel sunshine in the middle of the night.

I loved him. I still love him. I want to be his forever.

"My... Resting, are we?" I jolted up. The demon butler made his way from the dark and into my view under the bright moonlight.

"H-hello... I've been waiting for you..." I murmured quietly and politely. I didn't need to screw up now.

"I gave what you wished for, didn't I? Rest, wasn't it?" I gasped when I recalled my pathetic cry for help. He had heard me. He was there the entire time.

"Y-yes. Thank you. I'm well now." I avoided eye contact. Not only was he majestic in the pale light, but he looked a little malicious. But, I still loved him.

"You are welcome, my dear. I'll always be with you forever." He stepped closer and wrapped an arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. He rested his chin between the crook of my neck. I embraced him back and inhaled his somewhat "pure" scent.

"I love you, Sebastian. Why? Why are we doing this?" I asked, clinging tighter to him.

He caressed my long locks and pulled each strand apart gently. "Because I love you, too. We can spend eternity like this." Sebastian whispered into my ear.

I pulled back and looked him in the face. "This isn't love. I mean, love is when we can happily be together. I'm not happy...doing this." Sebastian smirked and pulled my face to his.

Our lips connected. A sweet, malevolent kiss. The kind of kiss filled with poison. He squeezed me closer to him, and I did the same.

He pulled away softly, and I bit my bottom lip. I was embarrassed, and my face was extremely hot. Sebastian smiled. "We'll be together after this. Our little game will be over soon."

Sebastian kissed the corner of my lips again. I felt the energy drain out of me. I wasn't sure of what was to come. I closed my eyes. My arms were still around him, but they slowly loosened themselves from him.

It was a month since the disappearance of [Name]. Her soul was gone, but her body remained. Sebastian had placed her in a room that was off-limits. He visited her daily.

He opened the door. "Good morning, [Name]. Beautiful as always." He cupped her face. Her cheeks were still flushed, but her body was slowly decaying.

"I'm enjoying these last few moments with you. Let's read a story together, shall we?" Sebastian grabbed the journal that she had been writing in.

" 'It was strange... I didn't know that I'd be in love with a demon. Hell, I didn't even know demons could love...' " he read. He paused. "This was the last entry you wrote, wasn't it?"

The decaying [Name] didn't move. Sebastian smirked. "This is the best, isn't it? We still are together forever."
