"Heart rate is steady."

"Okay but when will she wake up?"

"Not sure, what did you say her name was again?"

No.

"I didn't catch it. She was shot before she answered."

Please...stop.

"Well, her vitals are good. Expect her to wake up sometime this week."

Please...

A bright light pierced through your pitch black vision.

"Ah, you are waking up."

You sat up but quickly winced at the searing pain festering in your left side.

A man with curly black hair and glasses raised his hands steadily. "Hey, hey easy." You sat up slower this time and looked down. There were bandages covering your entire top part of your body.

They started at your chest and ended at your lower stomach. You looked up worriedly. "Who are you?"

The man who was also wearing a lab coat smiled. "I am Dr. Banner,"  Banner turned to the doorway and raised his voice a little. "Steve! She's awake!"

Your heart dropped. But I presented as a male to them when we first met. The pain in your side stung and you looked down. Oh. You realized they would of had to seen your breasts to roll the bandages on.

Banner turned back to you. "What is your name?" He said calmly.

"I..." Your chest rose heavily. You didn't want the Avengers to know your deadname. You didn't want them to even know that you had a feminine body.

"Hey...it's okay." The doctor reassured you as the heart monitor at the side of your bed started to beep.

He stepped closer to the end of the bed and you retracted your legs to your chest which you gasped in pain.

Banner moved to your side and said calmly. "You're safe."

Am I?

Your heart rate started to get dangerously high, in which the monitor mirrored with a louder beep. The man grabbed a syringe and took hold of your arm.

You flinched at his touch and your instincts kicked in. You could feel your gift roaring inside you along with your emotions. Your eyes glowed a bright orange and before the doctor could inject you with the needle he was lifted into the air.

Banner gasped and dropped the syringe. "Wh-wh-" He wiggled about in the air, a faint orange glow around him.

"Sorry, Bruce I had to-" Captain America paused in the doorway, wide eyed. You realized you've been holding Banner up in the air, so you dropped him.

America was able to catch the doctor before he hit the hard tile flooring.

"I'm sorry." You muttered and Captain set Banner down gently. The doctor whipped his head at you, he was a little disheveled with his glasses side ways on his face.

"Y-You weren't kidding about her might having powers." Banner gasped, looking you up and down. America just watched you with a almost woeful expression.

"Take her to a better location." America said calmly and Banner nodded. "Of course. I am assuming you have the room ready?"

Captain nodded, not leaving his gaze from you. "We do."

"Great, okay." Banner walked towards you. You flinched, not wanting him to touch you again."Easy..." He mumbled.

Banner slowly picked up the syringe and before your gift acted, he injected you with the needle.

Once again it went black.
