(FanFiction)

"Thank you, everyone, for being here today...as you know, Weselton has always been a country of diplomacy and allyship. Thru out history, marriages between nations have strengthened diplomatic relationships. A traditional that can be traced back to as early as the medieval ages, and tonight, I'm happy to announce my engagement to Prince Hans Westergaard of the Southern Isles!"

"Governor Brandenburg-
I turned around to find Queen Anna of Arendelle. "Your majesty! So glad that you could join us in this lovely evening" I curtsey. "Oh, the honor is all mine" Anna said, curtseying. "So, how's your trip of Weselton, so far?" I was curious on what Anna is going to say "Well...Let's just say that my trip so far has been lovely..." "That's excellent to hear!" "Governor, may we go talk about a private matter?" Anna asked, as if the topic of discussion is of the upmost importance.

I was confused. What on earth does she want to urgently discuss with me? "Of course, your majesty- We both went to a more secluded area in the ballroom. -is something the matter, your majesty?" I asked. Anna looked at me before answering my question. "I don't think this engagement with Prince Hans is a good idea...."

I laughed at Anna, after a few seconds of silence between us. "How is my engagement with Hans something that concerns you?" Anna looks at my ring. "You don't know Hans, I do...He's nothing but a villain". I acted like I was surprised. "Really, and how do you know?" "I just know...trust me..." "I don't need a 'trust me' from you- "Hildegarde, I- "What authority do you have over me? If you didn't want to attend, you could have just ignored the letter." "Well, yes I- "Besides... Weselton is nothing more than a 'greedy and corrupt' country..." My eyes turned emerald green as I said 'greedy and corrupt' sarcastically.

What started out as a civil conversation, slowly became an argument between two different sovereigns. "Look, Hildegarde, I may not know you that well nor your father...But this marriage could endanger Arendelle-

Oh no, she didn't...she has taken it too far, this time. I might be open for advice from other sovereigns, but this...this have crossed the line... I've had enough...

"Oh, why does EVERYTHING have to be about Arendelle! Other nations exist too, you know." I snapped. People started to notice us arguing, including my father and fiancée. "Not every decision has to benefit Arendelle- "Hildegarde, I didn't mean- "Oh, I know EXACTLY what you mean. I'm doing what's best for Weselton, my nation. Not yours. Who gave you the right to say who I can marry? I- "

"Hildegarde..." I stopped dead in my tracks. I felt a hand on my shoulder. Hans...my love... "Hans..." Composing myself again, I looked at Anna. "We shall resume this conversation later, your majesty..." I curtsy, mockingly calling Anna 'Your Majesty' despite being the crown princess of Weselton. "Fine, we'll resume this conversation later, Governor Brandenburg..." Then, she left to, what I assume, mingle with the other guest. I was still fuming with anger though, my eyes remaining emerald despite finishing the conversation with Anna. My father looked at me while I glared at Anna. Glasses did not help with hiding my changing eye color. "Hildegarde, calm down..." Father said, grabbing my arm to prevent me from doing anything reckless. Hans held my hand, trying to stopped me from committing homicide.
