(Original Story)

Running.... that's all I can do right now. I can't stop now... Not after what I saw...Not after what I did... Every step that I took got heavier and heavier...

As I ran through the forest, away from everything that I did. I could hear the shouts of the men that were chasing me. I ran even faster, with the moonlight being my only guide. My lungs couldn't keep up with my legs as I gasp for air. I kept running. Running through the trees and bushes that lined my path. I turned to look behind.

"Men! She's went this way!" "Follow her! And when you find her, bring her to me!" The voices rang in my head. I can't stop now. They were hunting me down... not stopping at anything to catch me...

I kept my pace steady. In the distant, I saw a clearing, the edge of the forest. The further I ran, the harder it is to breath. I was getting closer.

"Help us..." "Save us..." "Don't let him get away" "He did it..." "Tell everyone the truth" As I saw the very people I was asked to save, I heard them crying out to me. I'm sorry.

As I got closer to the edge of the forest, I started to feel lightheaded. Catching my breath, I look back for a moment.

A school with walls as old as the very trees that lined my path to freedom. This ancient building has housed generation after generations of students. And generations of murders. A school that felt like it was pulled straight out of a fairytale, now tainted with nightmares seeping through its walls. What once used to be a place of magic and enchantment, is now a place of sorrow and despair. A curse that swept across the land, just like the ones that we would read at school. A curse called "The Truth"

The soft moonlight shines upon a place I once consider magical. As I gaze upon the school, memories of my life there floods my mind. Memories of studying within its walls, of sneaking out to the garden maze with my classmate, of fooling around and being kids. How I wish I could go back...Back when everything seemed so beautiful and enchanting.

I was snapped out of my trance by the sound of yelling. Men with lanterns and guns hunting me down. I couldn't run anymore, but I needed to. As I began running again, my body tried to keep up. I ran towards the clearing at the edge of the forest. I'm going to be free

Suddenly, as if a stake went Through my heart, I collapse. As my heart beats a thousand time per second and my lungs desperately tries to breath, I looked at the men with fear in my eyes. I try to get up, but my legs locked in place and wouldn't move. Seeing no other option, I began crawling to safety. I felt the earth beneath me crumble as the vertigo starts to kick in. I kept crawling until I reached the gates of our school. The gates that are my key towards freedom.

"There she is!" "After her!" "GO!"

The voices echo in my head as I slowly inch myself towards freedom. Slowly but surely. As I reach the gates, my heart felt like it was about to give up. I thought I was dying. Using what's left of my strength, I opened the main gates slightly. Just enough to let me out. Locking the gates from the outside, I looked ahead on my new found freedom. But sheer will wasn't enough. As I crawl away from the gate, my vision begins to blackout. Gasping for what I thought would be my last breath, before slipping into unconsciousness. Not knowing if I would ever wake up.
