Hey! 🌙

I received a very nice suggestion to make this glossary for those who are now arriving at Adij Alim. Hope this helps with some questions! If I forget something, you can ask here and I'll gladly explain! 🖤

"Do I need to know all this before reading?" 🤔 No! Everything will be explained throughout the book, but if you forget or have any doubts, the information is here. 😊

Regions

Adij Alim: 'Adij' means 'house' and Adij Alim embraces all realms of the 12 clans. In Adij Alim, we have the regions below.

Adij Rariff: These are the lands ancestrally occupied by the Rariff clan, meaning House Rariff. Shailaja is in this region, despite not being close to the Rariff stronghold.

Island: The Island is part of Adij Alim, but it is hidden in the middle of the sea. It's not a realm, it's a haven for occultists fleeing Ür.

Hiwot: Land controlled by the Afia clan and close to Shailaja.

Judicaël: Region of the Yahia clan, whose only survivor is the rani Bryanna Caileigh Yahia. Today, these lands are abandoned.

Palatials: Formerly, it was the region controlled by the Maël. After the fall of the Maëls, it was occupied by the Rariffs and is where Noa spends his summers.

Island

The Island has a hierarchy of its own, with terms that are unknown to some clans.

Alnajm: the objective of the Island. All members of the Island work for a common mission.

Ghaya: Seer of the Island.

Haya: Warrior of the Island, being possessed of supernatural energy.

Khayin: Term used for traitors to the Island.

Qayid: Leader of the Island. Position currently held by Raoul Yezekael.

Gods

In Adij Alim, the faithful believe in the 12 gods. Each god has a month, two calendar days, and two hours of the day. That's why the months there only have 24 days.

Vashï Amandeep: Goddess of the Sun. In Adij Alim, the faithful believe that it is Amandeep's hair that brightens the days. (Yes, if I'm going to have a pseudonym, why not a goddess, right? 🙈 Hahaha)

Vïc Anandi: god of discovery, of curiosity, very connected to nature.

VashÏ Bahija: family goddess.

Vïc Aravind: god of beauty.

Vashï Ayman: goddess of love.

Vïc Brahum: god of anger and greed.

Vïc Bahadur: god of war, competition and victory.

Vïc Babakur: god of suffering and pain.

Vïc Bhaskar: god of sacrifice. In Adij Alim, the moon is believed to be an eye of Bhaskar that he offered in sacrifice to Ayman, Bahija and the children of The Orange Tree.

Vashï Amadum: goddess of death.

Vashï Amadam: goddess of peace.

Vïc Alim: god of wisdom, the one who created everything.

The triad

The gods interfere with everything in the plot. The main belief - and the only one permitted by Kral Ür Rariff - is of the triad of birth and the equivalence of the 12 gods.

Triad: The birth triad will define which gods were present at that person's birth, determining the following:

Month: God who rules your life

Day: God who protects your walk through life

Time: God who rules who you are

Occultism: All beliefs that are not based solely on the birth triad and equal importance among the 12 gods are considered occultists.

Interventionists: type of occult belief in which one believes in signals sent by Vïc Alim to discover and alter Destiny.

Inverted Triad: gods who were in the dark at the time of birth are believed to act through the shadows of lives, as follows:

Month: god who rules your misfortune

Day: God who takes away what is dear to you

Time: god you don't find in yourself

Alimnissa: priestess who interprets signs of the time of birth or inverted triads.

Royal treatments

As you may have noticed, we have no kings or queens in Adij Alim, but that is what clan heirs are. Nomenclatures depend on whether a clan is from the South or whether it is from the North.

Kral: northern king

Kaal: northern prince

Krali: northern queen

Kraliça: northern princess

Raj: southern king

Rana: southern queen

Rani: southern princess

Raja: southern prince
