Chapter 5

(Nathia) - "Rise and shine, soldiers. Time to begin your tour of the facility."

The instructor knocked on the door frame to wake up those who were still sleeping.

(Nathia)- "You have fifteen minutes, I want you quickly in the garden before the bell rings."

She closed the door, leaving the freshmen yawning and stretching as they got up. Mark woke up and changed into his uniform before stretching a bit and leaving the dorm with Liam, who followed silently. Allan followed shortly after them. Sonia and another girl were already waiting in the garden.

(Mark)- "Good morn..."

(Yagi)- "Eeeey... Watch your step."

Mark looked down to find Yagi still dozing lying on the grass.

(Allan)- "Have you slept here?"

(Sonia)- "No way, she came with me, but she laid down to rest as soon as we arrived."

The other girl came over to say hello. She wore her blonde hair short and slightly to the right side. A small scar ran down from her left brow toward her ear. Both eyes, brown, had a yellow glow due to Energy use. Mark was surprised at how common it was for so many people to keep the Energy flow active and signed up to practice as well.

(Bianna)- "Bianna Quízal, nice to meet you."

(Mark)- "Mark Kyahan."

(Yagi)- "Yagi."

(Liam)- "Liam Benath."

(Sonia)- "Sonia."

(Allan)- "Allan, and this is Meryth."

Meryth lowered her head, avoiding eye contact.

(Bianna)- "How cute. Energizer?"

Meryth sheepishly denied as she hid behind Allan.

(Allan)- "She has potential, but she's more comfortable with the crossbow."

(Meryth)- "I-I don't like Energy, it's too dangerous."

(Nathia)- "Here we will teach you how to control it so that it stops being so."

All those present took a firm stance.

(Nathia)- "Relax, we're not in class or training yet." She observed the group lowering her shoulders and adopting a more comfortable posture. "We'll wait the remaining six minutes to see if anyone is late and I'll send them for a couple of laps around the academy."

After ten minutes five people were running while Nathia explained the itinerary to follow.

(Nathia)- "We will start at the main entrance, most of you will have already explored it a bit, but for those of you who haven't, at the back you have the access to the common area and the garden. Down the stairs to the right you have the offices, if we are not teaching, we teachers and instructors usually spend our time there. On the stairs to the left you'll find the dining room and the dormitories."

They crossed the common area and garden to go out the back door to access the rest of the buildings.

(Nathia)- "The big building on the right is for the first and second year theory classes. You will also find there the laboratory and the workshop on the second floor. The one just to the left is the basic gymnasium, where you can practice common exercises and various sports." She pointed to an oval building at the opposite end. "That is the advanced gym, there you will have the combat and survival training. Finally, in the center you have the Energy study tower. The first two floors are open to all students. The first is the study area and the second is the library. The other five floors are only for students with permission to study and use Energy at advanced levels." She turned to look at the students. "Any questions?"

(Liam)- "What do you have to do to gain access to those studies in the tower?"

(Nathia)- "Throughout your stay at the academy you can take an entrance test on the recommendation of a teacher."

(Bianna)- "Is it true that we will have elite soldiers training us?"

(Nathia)- "That's something that will be talked about when the time comes."

(Mark)- "Is it possible to participate in extra activities such as blacksmithing?"

(Nathia)- "Yes, starting tomorrow we can talk about it. anything else?" He looked at the group. "No? Perfect. You have the rest of the afternoon free."

Sonia turned to Mark, but Yagi stepped forward.

(Yagi)- "Mark, you and me, to the gym. Rematch, what do you think?"

Sonia pushed Yagi away by grabbing her shoulder.

(Sonia)- "Don't get ahead of yourself, my rematch has priority."

(Liam)- "If you need an excuse you can join me to meditate."

Mark smiled, rested his hand on Liam's shoulder and followed him as he said goodbye to the girls.
