They are at the airport and are getting on the plane. Lucas leads them to their seats and puts her bag in the compartment above them. They sit down and wait for the plane to take off. Mark gives her a price of gum to chew so when They are taking off her ears won't pop. the plane starts to gain altitude and then evens out. She looks out the window and watches the only place she has ever known go by. Missing it already.

Half way through the flight she falls asleep. Lucas is the one to wake her up when they reach the airport in Illinois. She grabs her bag and leaves the plane. When she is inside the airport Mark and Lucas take her over to a woman with long blond hair in a dress that looks uncomfortable. She smiles and introduces herself.

"Hello Lux. My name is Nancy. I'm your social worker. I'll help you find foster families to live with."

Lux just nods. Lucas and Mark say goodbye and wish her luck. Then she follows Nancy out to a car. Not knowing that the cars are different in america she walks over to the drivers side. Looking confused she walks to the passenger side and gets in.

They are in the car for about three hours and Nancy is talking almost the whole time. They pull up to a house finally. Lux just sits there and doesn't move.

"This is a group home. You will stay here with a few other girls until we can find you a foster family." Nancy explains.

Lux already knew that but just nodded and got out of the car. Slowly her and Nancy walk up to the house and knock on the door. A woman who had short black hair and was wearing worn out jeans and a plain T-shirt opens the door and let's them in.

"Hi my name is Amanda and I'm the person in charge here." She says shaking Lux's hand. "The other girls will be down in a moment so why don't you sit down on the couch."

Lux sat down and looked around. It was a nice place. Then five girls all around her age came down the stairs and sat in the chairs in the meeting room. She got up and walked into the room and sat down.
