"Alright girls this is lux. She is going to be staying here for a little while and we need to make her feel at home." Amanda told the other girls. They all nodded.
"Lux can you tell us a little about yourself?" Amanda asked lux.
Hesitantly Lux nodded and started to speak. "Um hello, my name is Lux, I'm ten years old. I'm from England and was moved here today. I'm very quiet and very shy. So please don't get mad if I don't talk to you much. I have been a foster kid since I was two. My parents were murdered and I had no family to stay with. That's about it." She said quietly.
"Thank you. Now we are going to take turns and tell lux about ourselves. Amy you go first." Amanda said to a girl sitting next to Lux who had long brown hair that was in two braids.
"Hi I'm Amy. I'm twelve. I've been a foster kid for about two years. So ya that's it."
"Ok nicky why don't you go next." Amanda pointing to the girl next to Amy. Nicky had dark skin and curly black hair.
"Hey I'm Nicky. I'm eleven. I've been a foster kid since I was five. My dad died when I was two and my mom was doing drugs so I was put in the system."
"Ok thank you. Next is Cassandra."
"Hi I'm Cassandra. But call me Cassy. I'm nine. I've been a foster kid for about a year." Said a girl with red curly hair and green eyes and lots of freckles on her face.
"Ok now Stephanie."
"Hiya I'm Stephanie. I'm ten. I like to talk a lot. Haha. I've been a foster kid for almost seven years." Said a cheerful girl with white-blond hair and blue eyes.
"Ok lastly we have Alex."
"Hi. I'm Alex. I'm seven. I've been a foster kid for I think three years. Yeah three years. My mom and dad just didn't want me and gave me away." Said a small girl who had short black hair and blue eyes.
"Ok that's all girls you can go back to your rooms if you would like" said Amanda dismissing the girls.
"There are three rooms. Each girl shares a room with another. You will be sharing with Stephanie. I'll show you your room." Said Amanda leading her up to her room.
Lux didn't even notice that Nancy had left. She followed Amanda up to the room. She put her bag down and sat on the bed.
"I'll leave you alone for awhile." Amanda said and left the room. Lux just sat in her bed for a long time. Thing about England and how much she misses it.
