Scott returned home at 6:20pm.
"Hey man! Where were you? I thought you where going to leave Bell at work at five." I pause the tv. I was watching Robin Hood.
"Hey, sorry I'm late. Yeah that was the plan. But we found a box with three abandoned puppies and she was not going to leave them there. So we took them to her work and her boss is a fan so we talked for a little while." She rescued three puppies?! That's so great! "Aperently she rescues a lot of dogs."
I arch my eyebrow.
"Why you say that?"
He sits down next to me and opens two beers and hands me one.
"Well, we got late to her job and she went inside apologizing. Hey boss started saying she always has the same excuse and she wasn't looking at her."
Did her boss really got mad because she rescued puppies?! What the fuck?
"I thought she was in trouble and I got mad. But then she said "How many times do I have to tell you Bell... when you come in late because you where being the angel of a person you are by helping dogs, you never have to apologize."" Good. I would've been really pissed if her boss actually got mad. "So aperently she saves a lot of dogs."
Who is this girl?
"She sounds like an amazing person. I'm so happy she helps dogs. They really need good people in this world."
Scott is smiling widely.
"Yeah, definitely! So, what are we watching?"
" Robin Hood!"
I press play on the tv. I was kinda hopping Scott would keep telling me a little more about this girl. But he didn't, he really isn't trying to set me up. But this girl sounds amazing, I don't know if I would date her but it definitely sounds like we could be great friends. Maybe he's right. I should meet her. The movie goes by and Scott gets a text.
"Hey Chris, tomorrow and the day after that you have stuff to do right?"
I look a him a little bit confused.
"Yeah.... Why?"
"I'm gonna call Bell. See if she's cool hanging out the next two day so I'm not alone. She just got home from work so I'm gonna call her now."
He gets up and goes to another room. I'm surprised he hasn't insisted about meeting her. And he doesn't tell me anything about her. It's so weird...
Scott gets back and sits down without saying a word. I'm just starting at him waiting for him to say something. He looks at me weirded out.
"Why are you starting at me?"
"Dude! What did you tell Bell?!"
He laughs.
"Oh my god Chris, nothing. I just asked her if it was cool we hang out the next two days and she said yes. We're going to be at her place. She will work on her project tomorrow while I watch some Tv and talk. And the next day we will Watch the game. Apparently she's a Pats fan."
My eyes widen.
"She's a Pats fan? Dude! Why didn't you tell me?! That's awesome!"
He's laughing and I'm exited. This girl keeps getting better and better.
"I just found out relax. Besides you have work so you can't watch the game."
Demn! It would be a great opportunity to meet her... I do want to meet her. I need to think of something without it looking like I'm desperate. If not Scott won't let me hear the end of it.
