It was Friday afternoon and your office was abnormally calm. Most of the younger associates that you were responsible for were busy in between meetings all day with clients. This left you with time to work on the rest of your project kit, which consisted of collaborating with your Account Director. However, you had already spoken and implemented the next steps for your team's project. It was not surprising that you had already completed your work weeks in advance, leaving you to wonder what to do next.

As you swiveled in the computer chair of your office, you clicked your pen repeatedly, sliding it between your lips, making you think of any tasks you could have started on. After looking through your daily checklist and your numerous email accounts, you realized you had literally nothing to do. You were beyond caught up on all of your work assignments.

If you were being honest, you were a little disappointed that there was nothing else to distract you from thinking about Adam. Ever since your last encounter with him, you had buried yourself into work to avoid any type of feelings that would make you think of him.

Especially the feelings that made your body ache in desperation. Needing his touch.

While you were impressed with the amount of self-control you had over your thoughts in the past week, adjusting your salacious thoughts about Adam, you knew how this would end. No matter how many work assignments you put on your schedule, your mind would eventually lose the battle. The pull that Adam had on you was always intoxicating and feverish, leaving you needing more of him than you would want to admit.

Your head couldn't stop replaying the events of last Monday night. It was all clear and torturous, rewinding visual snippets of every inch of him: the large, pale hands that slipped between your thighs on the kitchen counter, the plumped pink lips that devoured your wet core, and the vibrations of his carnal moans against your neck as he squeezed his length deep inside you.

You subconsciously picked up your phone to scroll through your contacts until you reached Charlie's name. Without hesitation, you allowed your body to do all the work, typing up a text to Charlie, asking him for Adam's phone number.

What am I doing?

You questioned yourself for, what seemed to be less than a second, on whether this was the right thing to do, but you didn't care. You felt this insurmountable urge that pulled you closer to Adam, revealing to yourself how much you missed every aspect of him.

Twisting your mouth to the side, you looked outside the large window that set behind your chair. You heard a notification sound coming from your phone that sat on top of your lap. You knew it was Charlie's reply.

Charlie: "Hello to you, too? Damn. Not even a 'happy birthday' text :( "

You: "Shit sorry! Happy Birthday, Charlie! Any plans for tonight?" You felt terrible.

Charlie: "It's okay. You can make it up to me by coming to hang with the boys tonight. Bring your friends. Preferably the single ones LOL"

You hesitated before replying. You did need a night out and Adam would most likely be with Charlie on his birthday, but did he really want to see you? You hadn't even reached out to apologize. Knowing Adam, he probably wasn't expecting one from you anyways.
