Mina's POV
I breath out anxiously. Issac is not texting me back and the feeling that something went wrong is overbearing. You know what? I'm going. If he's in trouble I need to help, same goes for Derek and Boyd. A cab takes me to Derek's loft because it's kind of far and I didn't want to walk.
As soon as it stops I give him money and sprint inside. My powers at the ready, and my nerves on high alert. The alpha pack could already know I'm here. Right as I reached the right floor, I spotted our English teacher, sitting at the loft's door with Issac.

"Issac?" I ask wondering what was happening. All I get is a shake of his head, a sad look on his face. Walking up, I look into the loft only to see a horrifying sight. Gasping I stumble back when I see Boyd laying in the still water with Derek by his side, looking traumatized. It's too late, I got her too late. Tears build up in my eyes as I fall back onto the floor and stare at the lifeless boy. I know I didn't know him that well, but I knew him enough to not want to lose him.

Cora, Stiles, and Lydia run in. Cora kneels next to him holding his head, crying over his body. Her pained sobs flow through out the room, as we all stare at the werewolf who will never be able to experience the full moon again or finish high school and graduate with the rest of us.

The next couple of days, we all took to catch up and catch our breaths. Everything seeming to pile up on our chests. It's overwhelming.

It got to Derek effectively as well. He took off, now MIA. He's hiding from the alpha pack. He did what they wanted, unwillingly. Killing Boyd was the step they wanted him to take, before recruiting him.

Another person that's disappeared is Issac. He texted me that he was ok, but needed some time. I understood, he's been through a lot. We all have. I told him , that I'm here if he needs me, but left it at that. While everyone went off to learn about the alpha pack and Derek, Cassie and I stood home. We needed to be away for a while. Not to mention that it's been raining and we'd rather not be flapping our fins in front of everyone. So we stood home, caught up on homework, ate sea food, and watched movies.

Something relatively normal for once. At least humanly normal.  If we were back in our pod, we would probably be playing with the dolphins or challenging each other in races around the island.

The break is over very quickly once Stiles shows up at our door telling us that Lydia psychic powers have been activated. Cassie and I jump into Stiles' jeep and he takes off. It's literally the middle of the night so I'm not exactly too perky right now.

We pull up to the school with others already waiting up front. "Where is she," Stiles immediately blurts out.

"Over here," we hear Allison. She and Lydia walk up. And Scott pulls up on his lime green motor cycle. I groan quietly, still wanting to be asleep.

"Lydia?"

"It's the same thing. The same thing as the pool. I got into the car and headed somewhere totally different and ended up here. And you told me to call you if there's a dead body," the strawberry blonde explains. No one understands her powers yet, so we are all a bit confused when they actually work.

"You found a dead body?" Stiles raises his voice significantly loud. I frown. If a killer is still roaming around, they more than likely know we are here already.

"Not yet," she responds much calmer than our spastic boy here.

"Not yet? What do you mean not yet? Lydia, your supposed to call us after you find a dead body." I look around, unsettled that we're talking so calmly about such matters. No body, no killer. Yet at least.

"Oh no. I'm not doing that again. You find the dead body from now on," she shakes her head, clearly hating her creepy power. I would too if I were her.

"How are we supposed to find a dead body," Stiles argues. I roll my eyes. Being home in the moon pool would feel so much better right now. I look around and notice Scott's attention is somewhere else.

"Guys," Scott shouts that get their attention. "I found the dead body." My mouth drops open as we follow his line of sight. Cass latches onto my arm, not liking this just as much as me. A deputy is laid across the school's Beacon Hills sign. Blood flowing down the cement and brick from her hidden wounds. Guess we're back to work.

Cass and I crash at Lydia's house after the incident. Seeing as she is unsettled just like us. We hardly slept at all, but somehow the girl got up in her usual boss mode. Cass is her usual perky self and I am just living. Not alive, not dead, just living. Unlike many of the residents that once lived in this chaotic town. Oops it's probably too soon to have thoughts like that.

On top of these crazy sacrifices, all I get from this boy I like, is text messages. "Why are you so pissed this morning?" Lydia bluntly asks with a smile. Cass and her leaning against the lockers.

"Because our lives suck and through it all you would think that that one guy would be around and stay with you or at least show his face. But what do you get? Nothing but a few texted words saying, I'm okay," I grumble aggressively while braiding my hair to the side. The two girls give each other this look that I don't want to comprehend making my frown deepen. "What?"

"You just need to stop avoiding it and tell him how your feeling, honey," Lydia remarks. Cass nods along, but our conversation stops as we hear the bell ring loudly. I sit behind Scott, adjacent to Stiles, and by Lydia in class. Cass in a different class sadly. The two boys talk about our situation, Lydia doodling a tree and I went through every possible conversation I could have with A certain curly haired boy. Our English teacher seems unaffected by the events with Boyd and the alphas though as she teaches perfectly fine.

"Oh no, I'm done with that boy. Why not make a certain brunnette mermaid do your work," I overhear Lydia converse. Oh no, what the hell do they want now? The two boys stare at me expectedly with adorable puppy eyes.

"What do you want," I ask them. Knowing I'll end up giving in one way or another.

"Those boys owe me," I grumble before putting on a fake and almost flirty smile as I snatch Aiden's wrist and pull him into Coaches office. But it kinda worked in my favor, as I need a distraction.

"What-" are the only words that the alpha twin gets out before I smash my lips onto his. The boys needed me to distract him and conversing with the boy wasn't going to work as he's not so good with words and neither am I. A horrible pettiness overtook me with Issac after I got a text from Allison that he was with her. Only checking up with her, but he never even bothered with me.

So with a secret revenge, I lightly pushed him onto the desk. Only he saved himself by holding me back from kissing him any further. "What is it?" I ask looking at his expression. He's clearly confused.

"I'd expect this from from the red head, but you? I'm not buying it," he tells me. I sigh moving back and crossing my arms as many feelings churn in my stomach.

"You're right. This isn't me."
