"I can't keep doing this." The girl said to herself. She had just been fired again, she doesn't even know what for. She would send a complaint in but who would listen.
She had done it before and nothing happened. She wasn't getting paid that much anyway.
'Was it because I didn't have enough money to buy the uniform? It not my fault' She asked herself.
Her parents died when she was young, she was left all alone until this family took her in. It almost felt like she was with her real family at times but then they got a phone call and she was out the door in the next minute.
She cried herself to sleep at nights when she thought about it. How they treated her so nicely but suddenly they would scoff at the sound of her name.
Why me? She would ask. Why out of all the people in the world had this happened to her? She had never done anything wrong except when she broke the vase when she was 7 years old.
Even though she was poor and homeless, she never stole and she worked for everything she had. She envied people who had the luxury of living indoors but she couldn't blame them for her life.
"There is no hope for me. I can't even keep a job for crying out loud." She mumbled under her breath.
She went to the shop around the corner that always sold cheap stuff and brought some bread and ham with the little money she had.
She lived in a poor part of town but she often traveled up to upperclass or middleclass part of town to see what could've been.
People usually stare, quietly judging her. Some would even come to her and insult her about her clothes or how she looked.
She had gotten so used to it that she usually just rolled her eyes and walked away. When it first happened to her, tears starting falling down her eyes making the group who insulted her laugh and make fun of her even more.
She was so young at that time and yet they didn't hold back, they cursed at her and all. Trying to clear her head, she walked into the store.
"Hey Ymir, I'm assuming you're here for your usual bread and ham." the Cashier said. She rolled her eyes, she hated this cashier. He always acted like he was better than her even though he lives down here meaning he isn't that rich himself.
She ignored him and went to get what she usually got, she went up to him and gave him a glare to shut up. She paid and left.
This was usually the time she would go back to her little hut she made on a grassy hill. It wasn't much but it gave her a place to sleep.
She made her sandwich and laid down while eating it. There wasn't much else she could do, she has nothing.
She is surprised she can even really get a job. She has no work experience anywhere except as a cleaner or janitor and somehow she still gets fired, she doesn't really have any skills other than surviving and she is pretty sure plenty of people are doing that.
She kinda wishes that some genie out of a bottle would show up and take her far from where she is.
She finished up her sandwich and went out for a walk, she could only stay in that hut for so long. She decided that since she had nothing else to do she would visit the upper/middle class part of town.
When she finally got there she took in the view, it wasn't anything like where she lived. Cars drove around all the time, kids walked around with their friends doing all these fun exciting things, and more.
She couldn't blame anyone but she wanted to so bad, why had she been cursed? Why couldn't she be like one of those kids who could do fun and exciting things that would stay in her memory forever? Why her?
